Adaptibar Progress
For yall doing adaptibar, where do yall think we need to get to heading into the mbe? I'm at 71% (haven't started civpro which I heard isn't great), but keep stalling out around here.
Is 75% the safe zone? 80?

I'm at 66% right now (largely dragged down by 50% in civpro) Adaptibar told me they recommend aiming for an overall average of 70%, so you should be goodWheatThins wrote:For yall doing adaptibar, where do yall think we need to get to heading into the mbe? I'm at 67%, including all of my errors at the beginning (I started using Adaptibar exclusively during the first week of prep).

Re: Adaptibar Progress
ugh Adaptibar is making me feel like I'm getting dumber. I have not moved from 65% in the last 3 weeks. I'm not sure if maybe it has something to do with the fact that I didn't use it "correctly" as they suggest (I didn't read the guide first) so I didn't answer in sets of 50/350 etc. I feel like I'm getting fed all of my weak areas continuously even though I'm reviewing the answers. also trying to account for the fact that my my 65% includes a 48% in civ pro. I don't know, I'm frustrated but trying to find comfort in the fact that I did well on the Barbri Simulated.Rahviveh wrote:How's everyone doing?
Also, FWIW, some of the questions on Adaptibar are just legitimately rules of law I do not know and never learned in any of the Barbri materials so I will obviously get them wrong. (I guess its good to miss them now and learn, but its definitely affecting my overall average)

Re: Adaptibar Progress
Is that your overall percentage? You should be lookin at your current average on the most recent sets, not the overall average from when you first started.ellewoods123 wrote:sitting at 1029 right now with a 65.5%Rahviveh wrote:I have a good overall average but I have not touched civpro yet. My most recent 350 was 75%, and that included two of the practice tests. Have noticed I've been getting more and more obscure questions that weren't covered anywhere.

The questions have definitely started getting harder for me around 500. Was averaging around 70% but started declining recently.WheatThins wrote:My most recent 350 was 75%, and that included two of the practice tests. Ugh, I need to get on this. Kinda kicking into serious mode for the last few weeks, so should be able to get a few thousand done.

Somehow I'm doing worse and worse on these Adaptibar questions despite scoring in the 81st percentile on the simulated. Since Adaptibar is a compilation old actual bar questions, am I screwed for the real thing?

exact same concern, but I truly think the answer is no. As I said above, idk if anyone else has noticed, by Adaptibar feeds you a handful of really obscure questions that I for one never learned in any of the Barbri material. Of course you're going to get these questions wrong, but I think as long as you learn the new rules of law that (for me at least) seem to keep popping up, we should be ok.lawstoodent wrote:Somehow I'm doing worse and worse on these Adaptibar questions despite scoring in the 81st percentile on the simulated. Yea, if I had to guess, they may be pretty old questions, but it is definitely a good thing to encounter it, even if you get it wrong, if there is even some chance it is on the actual bar.

Re: Adaptibar Progress
I'm experiencing the same thing. Someone mentioned on another post that Adaptibar starts to give you questions in your weaker areas, so it may seem like its getting toucher, while in reality it's just testing you in the areas you do are not doing the best at. I haven't found anything to confirm this, but it's increasingly frustrating when you go from consistently getting 70-80% to 40-50% on the practice exams. It's terrible.lawstoodent wrote:Somehow I'm doing worse and worse on these Adaptibar questions despite scoring in the 81st percentile on the simulated. Re: Adaptibar Progress
I'm guessing here but I think 75% is the beginning of the "safe zone" if you're aiming to auto-pass. 73% is possibly on average the minimum required to obtain a 150 "auto-pass" in a UBE jurisdiction (138/190 raw + 12 points).
I'm getting 78-80% on adaptibar lately, average 75%, 73% simulated Barbri exam.

Re: Adaptibar Progress
anything above a 70 is in the pass zone.
the civ pro questions are diff with every program,i have been getting dragged down.
last time i took the bar i was at 73% on adaptibar and ended up with a 154 scaled on mbe.

Holy crap, what's wrong with you guys?
I'm at 75.4% and I thought I was a monster lol. Some of you are scoring 80%+? I mean.. I have an 86% on Torts...
That's essentially an auto-pass in some jurisdictions (most 50% MBE jx's, i think) regardless of how badly you do on the other half of the test.

AFAIK, they're all "old." Is Themis, Kaplan, or Barbri getting newly released actual Bar questions that Adaptibar isn't? I don't think so (please correct me if I'm wrong).
I just figured none of the recent questions have been made available for licensure/sale for whatever reason.

well.. yesterday Adaptibar decided again to test me with 20/50 really hard question (40% less) and my session average dropped to 68%.. is Adaptibar testing my weak areas?Rahviveh wrote:I did a set of 100 today and got 88%. I really hope so because I'm getting incredibly frustrated after getting literally hammered with questions with less than 50% success rate.mvp99 wrote:well.. yesterday Adaptibar decided again to test me with 20/50 really hard question (40% less) and my session average dropped to 68%.. is Adaptibar testing my weak areas?Rahviveh wrote:I did a set of 100 today and got 88%. Same thing is happening to me, I'm getting peppered with weird property questions and criminal law questions. Not going to let it phase me. Does anyone believe that adaptibar users are not representative of the average bar taker. In other words, if you are getting doing average on adaptibar questions based on the statistics provided, you are probably doing better than the average bar examinee???

Hoping this too -- today I went down to 60%! I've only done 25 and am hoping it comes back up over the course of the day though. But definitely not a fun time for demoralization!
