a little.. getting 60-70% sometimes 50% (torts, go figure). Barbri says that's enough but I'm worried because I'm unable to fully recall the rules I'm using. I feel like I'm guessing too much.

Same here but also wildly inconsistent. Exceeding the targets on some and absolutely bombing other sets. Torts workshop crushed me

i did so bad on the torts assessment, but then killed crim law. thought torts would be pretty easy but apparently i don't know products liability or defamation too well lol. not looking forward to 3 days of real property...

Maybe if you had paid attention in Konig's class you'd have learned it the first time.sublime wrote:Awesome. I thought about making this but the 4l thread wasn't into it. Fuck property so hard.

Is human property tested on the MBE? Hopefully that week of Dred Scott will come in handy.sublime wrote:MarkinKansasCity wrote:Maybe if you had paid attention in Konig's class you'd have learned it the first time.sublime wrote:Awesome. why? why test property? does anyone even use future interests? Isn't it only like 3 MBE Qs?

well what has me worried sick now is that i looked up the pass rates. 41% NY bar pass rate in feb, and not much better last july...and AZ where i am taking it, 49% in feb...i had no idea it was so low...WolverineMachine wrote:learntolift wrote:i did so bad on the torts assessment, but then killed crim law. thought torts would be pretty easy but apparently i don't know products liability or defamation too well lol. not looking forward to 3 days of real property...

Re: BarBri Bar Review Hangout - July 2016 (UBE -NY)
Does anyone have any sense of how realistic it is to score 4/5 on the essays or MPT? I ask because I have little to zero faith in my MBE score. I know it's worth 50% and I'm doing everything to focus heavily on it - but I'm bad at it. I'm consistently hitting one or two below Barbri's averages and my Adaptibar score is hovering at a 65%. I really feel like I'm gonna need the essays and mpts to save me. How Unheard of are 4s and 5s? (I've been playing around with the score calculation on Seperac for what it's worth)

But wouldn't 65% be enough to score at least 140 scaled on MBE? I think you need at least around 65%, 130 correct out of 190. Although 140 is not probably enough to "auto-pass."

Barbri torts lecture was seriously a garbage can. Missing so much information.

Sorry I was just frustrated by the torts diagnostic, especially for strict liability. And doing the Barbri Amp for that section was even more frustrating since I felt totally unprepared for it by the lecture. Maybe I'm overreacting right now since I didn't even do any practice MBEs yet for it.

My biggest issues were strict liability and negligence for products liability as well.

Could someone please scare the shit out of me? I don't feel like doing anything and Barbri is barely assigning me extra homework (it's not like I'm doing that great, just like everyone else here getting between 60-70% of the questions right). I'm only efficient when I'm under pressure. I need to read horror stories.

to all those writing the exam, i recommend erasable ink. i know for a fact i knew nothing of civil pro, but boy did my essay look pretty. no cross outs, arrows and circles. i passed.
