Agreed -- Every time I didn't know an answer, I remember Themis telling me it (and I could even pretty much picture where it was in the outline) but just simply failed to remember. That's on me, not Themis. Themis where it's at.

Right there with you. We had thunderstorms during our PM sesh and the lights flickered when I was at about 60 or so. The only time in my life I prayed for the power to stay on during a test. Not sure my focus could've held out
Haha I thought the same thing! Also those MBE questions were trash! At least the morning ones. Wtf?!

I agree. I found the MBE questions really difficult.

That's what I'm sayin' I heard from all sources that the questions on the test are easier than the practice questions. The real deal were way harder if you ask me.

Yep. Thoroughly happy with Themis, pass or fail.

My only complaint is that they never mentioned market share liability anywhere in the materials.

Another satisfied Themis user. I felt about as prepared as I could be for the UBE (91.5% completion including blasting through a ton of essays over the last weekend, and about 2300 PQs including milestones.) I'll find out in a few months whether it was enough, but if it wasn't, I don't think another bar prep service would have helped. (Something something standards of care and causation?) I'm glad Themis forced me to learn how mortgages work. And I feel like it's hard to hold against Themis things like, for instance, anticipating questions on obscure trivia-level provisions of the default judgment rule. (FRCP 55.)

If it turns out Themis taught me all the rules incorrectly - which I'm not even sure I'd know if that happened - I'll return and retract my endorsement. :)

I don't know. I'm not really happy with Themis. Pass or not, I was mostly teaching things to myself. In reality, I could have learned the same thing with just the outline books and adaptibar. Nothing that Themis did was a game changer, and the simulated MBE tests, I could have just gotten from the NCBEX website (they have 4 of them).

Everyone told me that having a bar prep company was a game changer, when, in reality, it's not. All it does is provide some structure, and only in the beginning. The only thing that gives me solace is that if I pass, I can pat myself on the back in that I did everything I had to do to pass. If I fail, I can take solace in the fact that Themis will give me every cent that I spent on their program back.

Got a congratulatory email from Themis during our lunch break. Test wasn't over. Themis has the irresistible impulse to Theme. It's insanity

I want to come back to this. All bar prep courses involve your teaching yourself. In fact, I really can't think any sort of education that doesn't require you to teach yourself. So I don't see how that's a critique. Did you think Themis would use osmosis to teach you? :P

You're forgetting the essays. Having the practice essays were very helpful. I ended up going through everyone one of them, and as a result every question on the MEE were things I had seen before.

Make sure you guys fill out the Themis survey they sent via email! They offer individual comments for each professor.

Now is your time to air out all your grievances

Do we have to return the books like Barbri people? Or can we sell them? (are we allowed to sell them??)

I don't remember a thing. It's all jumbled.

Themis definitely did a good job prepping me. If I have to take the darn thing over again, I'll know what to do and how to do it better.

I am suffering from post-bar PTSD. Last night I had a dream that my score was 402. Passing in MD is 406. Slept a total of 3 hours last night. This is going to be a fun three months.

We got our Bar results on Friday for Arkansas and I PASSED! Several others I know who took Themis in AR also passed. I'm not sure pass numbers or breakdown of any numbers but I wish the best for the rest of Themis takers in other states!

congrats! How nice they let you know so quickly!

I totally forgot to send my law school transcript to the MD Bar and had a grand old time running around last week, faxing, making phone calls, and paying $40 for BC to overnight my transcript for me. Good times. Why BC doesn't have electronic transcripts, I don't know, just to keep my life interesting I guess.

Themis friends! I haven't seen a lot of Themis data, so here's a score report for you.

Milestone 3: 145 raw (72.5%)
Actual July 2016 MBE: 173 scaled

More relevantly: I consistently scored between 76-80% on six of my last seven Themis PQ sets (50 PQs each, test mode), and I walked out of the MBE feeling about as nervous/confident as I usually felt after finishing a Themis PQ set. I'm guessing a 173 scaled is consistent (maybe a little high) with getting 80% on 190 questions, but use the data how you like, or not at all. I dunno, maybe I outperformed myself or the real thing just happened to be a little easier because it didn't use Themis's algorithms to target *my* weak areas. Fwiw, I did about 2300 PQs and took all of the MBE subjects in law school.

I'm mostly posting this because perhaps these numbers or this anecdote will provide someone with some comfort, especially if you were getting consistent practice scores with Themis and the MBE mostly kind of just felt like more PQs to you. (I realize not everyone felt that way, but perhaps you did.) Would love to hear if other Themis folks had a similar experience when you get your scores.

Best of luck to everyone still waiting on a score or working on a retake, and congratulations to everyone who's passed so far.

Just got my results back for Oregon and I passed!!

Fwiw, I failed almost every Themis graded essay and consistently got in the mid to high 50% for the practice questions. Got a 120 on the milestone. I did around 1800 questions total and finished about 80% of the program. To improve, I made a note card for every single wrong answer I got. I seriously had around 500-600 note cards. I reviewed a different portion of them everyday, but still my themis scores remained the same.

Grats to those that passed! If you didn't, don't sweat it, just minor set back in the long term.

Passed in Oregon!

I completed about 60% of the Themis program and 2700 MBE questions between Themis, Emanuel's book, Adaptibar.

Adaptibar MBE score = 70%
Themis MBE score = 72%
Got a 141 on themis' simulated MBE.

Best wishes to those of you still awaiting results!
