I'll defend Themis the same way I do my parents: "They abused me because they loved me and wanted to push me to succeed

You can't even see the scars any more"

Idk how you guys feel abused by Themis. I bought it. Totally didn't do it and laughed at its silly percentage tracker. You can find my post from around this time last year of having completed like less than 5%. I'm not saying be me, just want to point it's y'all who are abusing yourselves

Pushaw is totally scripted... "Woah. That was a complicated question, and a long explanation. I'll wait a few seconds while you turn to the next question."

How are people keeping track of all these Uniform codes in Family Law and Wills? It's so overwhelming.

Took the simulated MBE in Boston yesterday. For any Boston takers who couldnt make it, the room was super cold. They shut off or lowered the AC in the afternoon session which was better but definitely bring a sweatshirt for test day.

i'm not. idgaf if a question says "This jurisdiction follows the UCCJEA." I just apply what I know and hope for the best.

I'm not. Maybe your state tests on it. Heck, maybe mine does. But I haven't seen them tested in any of the practice essays. I figure its more important to know the basics (requirements for a will, child support modification, holographic will, etc etc) then some uniform code about interstate baloney.

I guess, what I'm trying to say is, you will not be able to memorize everything. Even with the final review outlines (which are condensed and leave lots out)- with all of them together, there would still be 100s of pages to memorize, which is basically impossible. So you have to realize you won't be able to memorize everything. So then, the task is picking out things important enough to memorize. The UCCEJFAJJJ uniform code of XYZ is not, in my opinion, important enough to merit study time and resources. Your mileage may vary.

I'm taking PA. From what I've seen, as long a you are able to write the words "equitable distribution" and "best interests of the child" and rattle off some common sense factors, you're fine.

The graded essay was insanely easy this time. I feel like the jurisdiction rules are the only thing you need to memorize for family law.

Thanks guys. I just needed reassurance that I'm not the only one who's not paying much attention to the uniform codes for the MEE subjects.

Damn that graded Family Law essay.

I know know that Themis has FRO's for the MBE Subjects in the actual book for milestone exams, but I don't see those in the handout library on the portal.

Are those FRO's available in PDF to print out?

Thanks

Any advice on keeping the torts liability jurisdictions straight? Like joint and several liability, comparative fault, pure several liability, etc.

I think you're supposed to assume joint/several + pure comparative negligence. (If that's what you're asking). They will tell you in the prompt otherwise.

Otherwise this is how I remember it:

Joint/several vs. Several:
- Joint/Several: Let the tortfeasors figure it out. No cap.
- Several: Capped by fault.

Comparative vs. Contributory vs. Modified:
- Comparative: Can recover from D but must reduce by your own fault.
- Contributory: Cannot recover whatsoever if it was in anyway your fault (but watch for last clear chance doctrine)
- Modified Comparative: Can recover, just like comparative, but only if your fault was less than 50%.

Nope. No FROs for MBE subjects. I messaged them about this and they said they could not provide pdfs for those because of "copyright reasons."

Use a PDF to Word converter online for free. Then you can use Word to fill in the blanks. The converted version won't be as pretty but it can be edited.
