OK to use Ipad Pro or Microsoft Surface for the New York Bar?
I don't have a laptop per se and only have an Ipad Pro or a Microsoft Surface Pro 3, would i be able to use either of those for the New York bar? I don't know if they consider it a "laptop" and thus usable to type up the essay portions.

Probably not, since you need ExamSoft... Don't know if they have an app, but it's usually an installer file of a .exe (for Windows) and .dmg (for Macs). Maybe a Surface, since from what I remember, they are running a full fledged version of windows, right?ok2bedifferent wrote:I don't have a laptop per se and only have an Ipad Pro or a Microsoft Surface Pro 3, would i be able to use either of those for the New York bar? I use Surface Pro 3 for law school exams with examsoft so if the NY bar uses examsoft then you should be okay with the SP3. Examsoft says SP3s are compatible on their website.

I saw someone take the bar exam with a Surface. Can't imagine it's easy typing quickly for an entire day on a small keyboard, but I suppose it's doable. I can't imagine the bar software would be compatible with iOS.
