Any previous takers know how lunch will work? Do we have time to run to our car?

Yes, you will have plenty of time to go to your car, it would be a good idea to stretch your legs anyway. Also, the packed lunches sucked. A cooler in your car with lunch waiting for you would be pretty sweet.

I feel like my emotions go back and forth. One day I feel good about my progress thus far, and the next day I realize how many minute rules I haven't memorized, and how much more material there is to learn.
Anyone else?

Eh... I feel pretty zen. I don't need to know every nuance. Just enough to pass.

Yep, same. I know I only need to pass, but I'm freaking out that I won't. It'll really set things back if I have to retake. Trying to at least stay sort of calm until July.doctoroflaw91 wrote:I feel like my emotions go back and forth. Yeah...I'm trying to just follow my bar prep program's schedule, and trust that it will be good enough. Otherwise, it's very easy to start freaking out and diverting your attention all over the place.

Yep - I reread the property CMR, which helped a lot. I also started doing a lot of property questions on the Barbri app and reading all of the answers, even if I got the question correct.doctoroflaw91 wrote:Anyone else MAJORLY struggle-bussing through Barbri's property questions?

Getting owned by Crim (Law) today, m'self. After making 80+ notecards from the Themis outline. And reviewing them.

I think I've just started to accept "getting owned" as part of this ridiculous game of the bar exam.

True life: I almost cried during the Ks lecture. I literally don't remember anything from yesterday, and was completely confused by today.

But how will you know what to do when you buy a 100-acre farm that has 15 mortgages and only 20 acres from a trespasser who adversely possessed 18 of the acres from a farmer who bought it from a guy who sold it to 4 different people and devised it to his nephew?First Offense wrote:I hate property. This is me, but with contracts. I didn't grasp anything from that 3-day lecture, so now I'm trying to triage and learn it all. And I still don't get it. Someone helppppp.First Offense wrote:I hate property. I might just skip it and hope I survive.justonemoregame wrote:STOP CONVEYING BLACKACRE IF YOU HAVE PREVIOUSLY CONVEYED BLACKACRE.

^ I'm good with property, decent at contracts, and horrible at torts. Evidence is also not happening right now.

Barbri hasn't hit evidence yet, but I'm almost the opposite. Great at torts and evidence, okay with property, and terrible with contracts.
I also haven't taken Con Law II, nor criminal procedure. So I may be kinda fucked for those.

I'm doing Barbri, and a few days behind just from moving and stuff. Hopefully I'll slowly make it up. Doing okay so far, but property is really kicking my behind.

Hang in there. About 3 days ago, I felt like shit about property. I devoted some time to identifying my problem areas this weekend, and reviewing the relevant Conviser sections. It's now one of my better subjects. It seems like it's going to take you forever to learn, but it won't.ironbmike wrote:I'm doing Barbri, and a few days behind just from moving and stuff. Barbri assigns these essays, and often I look at the answers and have ZERO idea where the law came from. Is anyone else running into the same thing? It's completely freaking me out.

I'm having the same thing. The essay answers seem to be way out of the depth of what is being taught, for the most part. At least from what I've seen.doctoroflaw91 wrote:Barbri assigns these essays, and often I look at the answers and have ZERO idea where the law came from. Is anyone else running into the same thing? But on another note, would it be so difficult for Barbri with their obscene prices to at least include page numbers and a real table of contents in their books? I'm wasting ridiculous time flipping around trying to find various assignments.

Bahaha, I literally was just having that conversation about the lack of contents earlier today. It's so true; the organization of the materials seems to be lacking severely. I think at this point, I'm trying just to make peace with the fact that Barbri is going to scare the shit out of us, and it's ok that I don't know everything/can't memorize everything right now.
Seriously? What are you waiting for?
