I would suggest going to best buy and looking at computers that have chiclet style keyboards vs non-chiclet style keyboards. From there you can decide whether you want to go mac or PC. I took the bar using an ASUS zenbook prime with windows ten. The keyboard is nice and compact, so I could type really fast.

MacBooks (air and pro) are fine, depending on your typing speed. I type 65 wpm and don't have a problem with them. That said, I've used them for a while and am therefore familiar with their eccentricities for key location (there aren't many differences, but all laptops are somewhat more limited in space than desktop keyboards obviously).

Whatever you're doing, the critical issue is to get a full-size kb (19mm key pitch).

Do you like the feel of the Macbook Air 13 keyboard? If so, then it's a good keyboard for the bar exam; if not, then find a laptop with a keyboard that you like and use that one.
