Feb. 2016 NC Bar Exam Results

Post by regretlawschool » Mon Mar 21, 2016 6:18 pm

If the NCBLE keeps their historical schedule of mailing the fifth Friday after the exam (4 weeks, 2 days after the exam) then results should be mailed this Friday (or Thursday due to the Good Friday state holiday, although US Mail will run Friday).

From a very reliable source it appears that NC Bar Exam results will be mailed Thursday evening, 3/24. Otherwise, it will be Monday. Mail will run Friday, Saturday and Monday since there is no federal postal holiday for Good Friday or Easter Monday, but the NCBLE does have a state holiday for Good Friday. Hopefully someone will be able to verify receipt of results letter by Saturday or Monday if they do in fact go out Thursday.

Any way that "reliable source" would inform that they have been sent out?

I don't understand why we have to use the antiquated postal system. Why not post the names that day online? They do it eventually anyway. Or better yet, e-mail people.

Well, I can confirm they weren't delivered where I live today. Although I'm about 100 miles from Raleigh.

**UPDATED: 3/26 - Nothing arrived in the mail today either. My guess is they didn't send them out prior to the Friday State holiday.

***UPDATED: 3/28 - Nothing in the Monday mail.

***UPDATED 3/29 - Nothing in Tuesday's mail.

If you're 100-ish miles from Raleigh, you will probably get them Wednesday if they were mailed Monday. According to the NCBLE's own calendar, they were grading through Friday, March 25th, so they were likely mailed yesterday. Good luck to you! I'm in the same Wednesday boat and questioning why I didn't get them mailed to someone in Raleigh. Waiting is the worst!

Been lurking on this thread and might as well contribute. Tuesday's mail just arrived in the Triad without that special envelope. Will probably be tomorrow or later if mailed Monday.

Everyone that I know in GSO/Burlington has gotten a letter that has received mail. I know about 15 so far. Unfortunately, my mail isn't here yet.

I have not seen the official statistics yet for February, but NCBLE listed 770 names as applicants for the Feb. exam and listed 201 names as passed bar exam and MPRE. Granted there are probably some who were listed who did not actually take the exam and there are some who passed the bar but not the MPRE so the actual number will be different than 201 out of 770. However, given that starting point it appears that NC's pass rate is going to be BRUTAL when officially announced.

I can confirm that. I made sure to save the list of test-takers and my list is showing 771 names and the 201 passers, which would mean ROUGHLY a 26% pass rate. Ouch.
