Mine says petition to retake. . I thought that was because I had to submit a petition to retake for the February exam. And I thought I might be okay because I completed my character and fitness investigation. I got a 150 MBE but failed in July because I really struggle with the essays. This is devastating.

Are you sure your app hasn't said petition to retake ever since you filed to retake this feb?

But he would have had all green checks at some point in order to sit for the exam... so for him to now have X's.... seems like something happened.

No I don't have red checks now. Had them last time, when I logged in morning of the day results came out.

I agree that my app might say petition to retake because I'm a retaker and did submit such a petition. that is why i asked if any MD retakers have an app that says original rather than petition to retake.

DISASTER AVERTED PEOPLE. NOTHING TO SEE HERE.

Sounds like every still has checks... retakers have "retake" petition, original takers have "original". Brings me to my favorite line of Jurassic Park... "Eveeryone, hold on to your butts".

When i go to fill out the petition, it doesn't let me save anything, but when i go to select the next time i want to take it, it has july 2016 as the only option

I had another idea of a way to find out... but it seems SBLE may have disabled the mechanism... This was my thought:

If you pass you can complete the online ethics training as early as this Saturday. So a couple of weeks back I went to the course website and tried to login by saying I forgot my username and password. It takes you to a page asking for your email. I entered my email and it said I did not have an account setup. I tried to do that again today, and the entire website has been taken down for an update: since 5 am. I suspect it is to avoid people doing just what I tried a few weeks ago. Or maybe I'm reading too much into this.

I had a hunch that's who was doing it, but last night I confirmed it because I found the letter that will be going out to passers on the SBLE website. It said something about going to the marylandprofessionalism.org website. I'll look and see if the letter is still there.

If you have not received email correspondence on the Professionalism Course, contact the Professionalism Center immediately."

Yes. We have. I have anyway.
And now I'm thinking maybe that letter is from last year because I did get an email before July results were released to register for the ethics course. But I'm still pretty sure the online thing is happening through the MD Prof. Center. I don't think there is any other reasonable explanation why their website has been funny all day and now all of the links except the login link work.

So while the July 2013 exam had a higher multiplier, the add on was very similar. Could that be a good sign maybe? Could it be that scores were good enough that we didn't need the 40+ point add on?

I think that's the idea, but of course I'm thinking I wasn't in that group that performed well
