where do we find the "Applicant Number" that we need tomorrow afternoon to check our results? (And yes, I know it was printed on the 'admission ticket' which is long, long gone).

Are you all gonna check at 6pm on the dot, or is there a special place you want to check at?

For example, a friend of mine checked her results at home with her boyfriend filming (she passed) some people don't want to check at work or in front of family so they wait until they are home alone.

My work is letting me go home after lunch. I'm going to start drinking early and then check alone in my apartment

I hate this wait. I hate it with such passion. I haven't been able to sleep properly all week. The thought of seeing that red error message on my screen again makes me feel sick... I need to pass this time around otherwise I will probably lose my job :(

Urghhhhh this is so stressful.

That's the way to do it. Either way you're set, either you're party drinking or drinking to drown your sorrows :)

But I'm sure you're fine. I'm so excited for all of yoh.

Maybe everyone on TLS will be in the approximately 46% of the examinees who passed the July 2016 CA Bar Exam!

Wouldn't that be nice?!? :D

newusername wrote:Hi, all. Anyone good with math know how many raw points short i was if i scored 1418 on the last examination? 1551 mbe, 1346 written.

Also, good luck to everyone waiting for results!
You need to know what the conversion is between raw and scaled for each year.

I'll use these to estimate for you:
- MBE scaling table from the past (latest available one AFAIK) http://admissions.calbar.ca.gov/portals ... l_info.pdf
- One-Timers CBX score calculator https://one-timers.com/one-timers-bar-exam-calculator/
- Refer to the grading methodology for a basic calculation you can just assume I did correctly (read first if you're going to ask) http://admissions.calbar.ca.gov/Portals ... rade_R.pdf

Again, know that this is merely an estimate based on cobbling together conversions from different administrations. It varies from test to test.

1551 MBE = ~141 raw MBE correct

Inputting MBE 141 into the score calculator, we get a total composite score of 1414 with 585 raw written and 1424 with 590 raw written. You needed 600 (average of 60 across each essay and PT) raw to get a 1443 and pass with your very good MBE score.

Your score was 1418, so you were missing about 10-15 raw points from the written portions. Pretty close! Work on your essays and/or PTs (try to aim 65s on PTs since they are worth a butt-ton).
Hey, thanks so much for taking the time to calculate this for me. Although, I'm back to freaking out about results, your estimates did provide me with some relief for a day or so. I studied much harder this time so I hope the increased effort is enough to get me through this time. What's scary are the discrepancies between graders, half my answers had 10-point discrepancies. We'll see how it goes tonight. Thanks again for the help!

The countdown is by minutes now. Why do they have to be so dramatic?
