Is the UBE the same in all states?
I.e., if I buy prep materials to study for the MBE, MEE, and MPT, will they be the same for all UBE jurisdictions?
Take NY for example. Is there a difference between the 2015 MBE, MEE, and MPT, and the upcoming 2016 NY UBE? I know the 2016 NY UBE won't have the NY-specific multiple choice questions anymore.
I honestly have no idea about the bar exam, and I am starting to sort through the maze.

So if I cop 2015 MBE, MEE, MPT test prep books, then I should be okay in that regard?LeDique wrote:What do you think the 'u' stands for dude

Yea. Only note would be that the 2016 materials might have improved Civ Pro sections now that the companies have seen what those questions look like on an actual exam. I think I remember seeing a significant amount of posts feeling that the 2015 civ pro materials didn't match the test well, but dunno.

Thanks.
Is the MBE, MEE, and MPT all administered on the same day?

Is the bit of Peastly wisdom that 60%+ on MBE = AUTOPASS applicable to UBE jurisdictions?

All jurisdictions have different passing scores and some states also include a certain state specific area.

Thx. I'm primarily looking at NY, and their score is 266 and the state specific stuff is an online exam now.joeyc328 wrote:MPT AM DAY 1 MEE PM DAY 1 MBE DAY 2.Nebby wrote:Thanks.

I don't know that it's 60%. Figure that 116 is what you get for showing up to the MEE/MPT with a pulse and then you need a 150 on the MBE. I think that's more like 70%?Nebby wrote:Is the bit of Peastly wisdom that 60%+ on MBE = AUTOPASS applicable to UBE jurisdictions?

According to that Peast post 150 on MBE is about 60th percentile.LeDique wrote:I don't know that it's 60%. Ah damn I'm an idiot. I saw an old peast quote the other day and noticed the username was changed to a bunch of random numbers. I saw this post and saw random numbers and thought it was peast. Why is DF's username a bunch of random numbers too on that page? THE PRUNE?LeDique wrote:Damn dude. You hate DF so much you're calling him Peast?

Although studying for them might be the same, each jurisdiction can pick different essays, but not the MBE.
