My brain broke on crim pro, wherein I completely forgot that in order to have standing to assert 4th amendment protection you have to have a reasonable expectation of privacy in the thing to begin with. Since the answer to basically every subpart of that question was that there was no reasonable expectation of privacy, I'm looking forward to the 1 I'm gonna get on that one.Ohiobumpkin wrote:At least none of you had a brain fail and talked about due process instead of equal protection as was asked for in the second con law question. Oh well, at least I feel confident about the free speech con law question went well.

Checking in. Currently clerking out of state, so a pass tomorrow morning isn't crucial--but I'd be pretty mortified to tell my judge that I failed. Here's hoping...

Similar situation. I accepted a job on Wednesday. It's an in house counsel position doing 80% negotiations. They said if something happens and I fail they'd have to change my official title but could keep me on. I'd prefer to avoid sending that email before I even start.cedarseoul wrote:Checking in. You probably did fine. Because the suspects in the question were overnight guests, they had a reasonable expectation of privacy. The crim pro question was essentially just testing to see if we understood the requirements for a search warrant, the exclusionary rule, and its exceptions.barpanic wrote:My brain broke on crim pro, wherein I completely forgot that in order to have standing to assert 4th amendment protection you have to have a reasonable expectation of privacy in the thing to begin with. Passed! It looks like Ohio didn't really take a big hit in pass rates this year-- 80% for first time takers (81% last year).

Re: *JULY 2015-- OHIO EXAM*
I saw a thread from last year and it seemed like some people got them on Saturday after scores were released. Someone in downtown Columbus actually got it on Friday. Hopefully tomorrow.simpleAs wrote:Anyone know when to expect score reports?

Same mbe. hah. Somehow I got a 2 on MPT 2 yet spent three months worried about MPT 1 because I wrote it to the wrong audience. lol.cdelgado wrote:Passed. 165 MBE.

It's always the ones that you think you did poorly on, you end up doing the best.charlesxavier wrote:Same mbe. hah. Somehow I got a 2 on MPT 2 yet spent three months worried about MPT 1 because I wrote it to the wrong audience. lol.cdelgado wrote:Passed. 165 MBE.
99th percentile. Perhaps Barbri did prepare me, but I'm still unsarisifed with it overall.

Re: *JULY 2015-- OHIO EXAM*
Not that it matters all that much anymore, but I'm curious: was the essay that I thought was an agency essay actually an agency essay? I thought I really knew agency, and I was fairly confident in my answer, but I got a 1. On the other hand, I had not studied ANY Ohio-specific civil procedure, had no idea what they wanted for the civ pro essay, put down some BS, and got a 5. I remember that some people on here thought the agency essay wasn't really about agency, and was actually about secured transactions or something? Maybe I'm just terrible at agency. I guess we'll know for sure when the sample answers come out.

If you're talking about essay 9, it was an agency question. I noticed that, aside from one or two, my essay scores weren't very predictable.barpanic wrote:Not that it matters all that much anymore, but I'm curious: was the essay that I thought was an agency essay actually an agency essay?
