OMG -- were you in Ontario? I know EXACTLY who you are talking about, you MUST have been in Ontario because I can't imagine there are more than two of them running around taking the bar exam. It was almost like some super fast speed walking.....her steps were small, but her speed was so fast.
In California, the guy sitting next to me had some of the nastiest breath I've ever encountered. I seriously thought he was eating shit for breakfast or something. Also, the guy in front of me left at least an hour early every single day, totally and completely calm and collected. It freaked me out a bit, especially on the MBE day.

Too many people crammed in on exam tables in my state. I barely had enough room to spread out two pages and I had to move my scantron sheet around after being done with every page. Additionally, the guy on my right was left-handed and I'm right-handed so we also constantly bumped into each other's stuff.

I was in Oakland. This dude smelled like he had never brushed his teeth, must have been some crazy tartar buildup or something. Gross. I didn't anticipate that in all of my 10 weeks studying but (hopefully) managed just fine.robinhoodOO wrote:Were you in Sacramento by chance? Re: What annoyed you during your state's administration of the Bar Exam?
1. Parking
Had somewhere between 2800-3000 at my testing site in Houston). I got there two hours before the exam but for that many people there was only one parking entrance open during rush-hour traffic. I spent an hour and 15 min to go less than 1/4th of a mile to enter the complex. Meanwhile, there were people trying to squeeze into the front of the line. To make matters worse, the payment signs were placed further in so there was shuffling of cars as people didn't have the right form of payment. Finally parked 15 min before the time stated on the admission ticket. Got to the secure room and realized I had left my sunglasses on top of my head (which weren't allowed in) so I had to haul a$$ back to my car to put them up and run back in the Texas heat, only to find out they delayed the exam by another 15 minutes as half of the room was stuck in the parking mess.
They told me about my sunglasses, but Once in the Room, people had watches that they picked up and held for them. I wonder why they couldn't do that for sunglasses.
2. Pulled my Achilles tendon in the process of running to my car and back and now in a boot! :-S
3. The guy next to me seemed high or drunk the first day. He literally went to the bathroom every 20 minutes and constantly shuffled through his papers. He then went into a panic mode closer to the end of each testing session writing/typing furiously, shuffling papers, shaking his foot, or sighing. During the instruction time he kept trying to make random conversation. I finally had to tell him to stop because I couldn't hear what the proctor was saying.

Did you have to take the test in pain and get this addressed after? That sounds awful.Kiwi3891 wrote:1. Parking

The first day I didn't feel the pain. It was pure adrenaline. But by the next morning I was in a lot of pain and to make it even better, we had 3 days of testing.petsoundspop wrote:Did you have to take the test in pain and get this addressed after? That sounds awful.Kiwi3891 wrote:1. Parking

Re: What annoyed you during your state's administration of the Bar Exam?
Um...that's not true for everyone because I left with 30(ish) minutes to spare on the MBE day and got out right before the 15 was called during the NY day. I've always just been fast though. I did the same during law school finals.rcharter1978 wrote:Word on the street is that people who leave early are generally from testing companies that want to get an idea of what the questions are. And they have to leave early while its still fresh in their minds. BUT not so early as to arouse suspicion. I'm not sure if that's true, that was just the word on the street. Because I noticed people doing that at my test center too. And I know you should only pay attention to what you're doing and not anyone else, but its easy to freak out a little when people are rolling out an hour early and you've (I've) only finished reading the third essay question.nyny wrote:Several things annoyed me with the ny javits center test site. Last but not least on ny day, in the am, they ended the test 1 minute early... man I was so freaking mad, because I could not bubble in my last two answers on the NYMC... My computer said 12:29 and they called time... I'm still mad lol... Overall, everything went smooth.
Did they not give you a 5 minute warning? Boo on that, I thought they had to do that
As for the original question, and to add onto the NY Javits annoyances, the fact that it sounded like the cast of "Stomp!" auditioning upstairs during the entire MBE was extremely aggravating.

Re: What annoyed you during your state's administration of the Bar Exam?
The people I was referring to were a small group of people that left over 45 minutes early for each session. There were substantially more people who only left the MBE section early. It made sense to me since I know quite a few people who do not want to risk re-reading questions and changing their answers.sd5289 wrote:Um...that's not true for everyone because I left with 30(ish) minutes to spare on the MBE day and got out right before the 15 was called during the NY day. I left early as fuck every day and don't work for a bar company. I just didn't have any more to say/do.
