MPT July 2015
I didn't see an instruction sheet (e.g., memo from the chair of the firm) detailing how the answer should look on the second letter of the MPT exam. Did I miss something completely? It's haunting me, because I was expecting to see it, and wondered if I just moved too fast. The task memo said to do the letter, and to incorporate the facts into analysis, but that's about it. Anyone? (Oregon.)

Forms as in exemplars that you were supposed to follow exactly. I had instructions that just told me what to write about.jul15taker wrote:jaysnooginz wrote:I didn't see any forms for either of mine. You are good.

Re: MPT July 2015
On the second MPT test (the settlement recommendation) the task memo itself said just to write a letter to the client and incorporate the facts into the analysis. But I feel like all our practice exams had the instructions from the head of the firm, or whatever, that said, for example, do headings for each issue, followed by analysis, etc. Just much more instruction in terms of how to organize the letter. The first MPT had those types of instructions, but totally didn't see it in the second one. Just making sure I'm not losing my mind!

You aren't if you got the two client letter MPTs. I cannot speak to the other ones that people took.osbarca wrote:On the second MPT test (the settlement recommendation) the task memo itself said just to write a letter to the client and incorporate the facts into the analysis. Mine was an opinion letter, and the instructions went into a lot of detail on how they wanted the letter to look.

Does anyone know what an "average" MPT score is? My state only publishes average MBE scores.

MPTs are the easiest part of the exam. If I pass, it will be because OR has 2 MPTs worth as much as the 6 essays.Mactx wrote:Two MPTs?? Gross.

Yeah, I'm saying that we had both 2 MPTs (25%) and 6 essays (25%). I suck at essays, so if I passed, it'll be thanks to those MPTs worth 12.5% each.Mactx wrote:Seriously?? Awesome, thanks. One less thing to worry about. That's all I saw, too. Now, back to freaking out about the MBE.
