Likely taking the Wisconsin bar exam in the near future, wondering what effect my transferred MBE (175 scaled) will have on my overall score. According to the rules, WI will accept an MBE over 135 and requires a 258 between the MBE and its essay portion. What I can't figure out is whether a transferred MBE would be included in their scoring system.
I found some discussion here, but the issue was never really resolved: http://www.top-law-schools.com/forums/v ... 9&start=75

Re: Wisconsin MBE Transfer
The way I read it, a transferred MBE does get included. Begs the question of what it would take to get 100ish on the essays. Not much I'd imagine. Really curious about this as well, probably taking February. I have no idea what my MBE score was, but I imagine it's the reason I passed in a tough state to pass.

One of their PDF's on the Wisconsin Bar Exam sets forth: "Acceptance of the transferred MBE score has the effect of waiving that portion of the Wisconsin bar examination. You will be notified in writing of your MBE transfer acceptance or denial."Gainfully Unemployed wrote:What I can't figure out is whether a transferred MBE would be included in their scoring system.t=210339&start=75
The minimum MBE score they'll accept is 135.
Once transferred, it's my understanding that the score is treated and 'weighted' the same as if you took the MBE during the Wisconsin Bar Exam, which is a 50/50 split. So, I think the answer to your question is 'yes.' You don't just get an "auto-pass" on the MBE section. It's still 'weighted' with their essays and you just don't have to take it again.
