North Carolina bar exam interview
I am a moron, but I seemed to have lost the letter North Carolina sent me with the address for my character and fitness interview tomorrow, and I have no idea where I need to go. I know it's in Charlotte and that my interview is at 2pm, but as for the address...I have no idea, and no idea who to call.
Anyone who has taken it, any help would be a life saver.

My interview is tomorrow in Charlotte as well. The address I have is the Mecklenburg County Bar Center at 2850 Zebulon Ave.

I have no idea if mine is in a different place. My friend who took it last year said it was off Tyron Street. I had to call a law firm to make my interview appointment. I hope they're all at the same place.eburgis wrote:My interview is tomorrow in Charlotte as well. The address I have is the Mecklenburg County Bar Center at 2850 Zebulon Ave.

I called a law firm too - the Schwartz Law Firm. I would be surprised if yours is at a different location!

I made mine through a law firm too, I believe it was Schwartz. I am just going to go early to the Mecklenberg bar office and see if they can help me if it isn't the right location.
EDIT: Can confirm it was Schwartz, I had their number on my phone.

Re: North Carolina bar exam interview
I doubt this forum is still active, but I'd appreciate any insights anyone might be able to offer. I passed the Feb. 2018 NC Bar exam; however, I have a C&F hearing regarding my credit card debt (in months leading up to exam). I have two questions:
1) If anyone could offer any insights regarding the timeline of the hearing, I would be so grateful. My employer will not wait 6 months or 2 years... so I really hope to be able to get this straightened out sooner rather than later.
2) Is a license ever issued on a conditional basis?
Any insights into this would be so appreciated.
Thank you so much.

Wow. I didn't know this was a thing. If you're comfortable, could you please say the range of the credit card debt you accumulated? I foresee something happening similar to me with the cost of a bar course and taking the bar exam (planning to pay it off months after when work gives a stipend covering it all).dreamofNYC wrote:I doubt this forum is still active, but I'd appreciate any insights anyone might be able to offer. Thank you for your response. I would be happy to chat via private IM. I wonder how I would be able to contact you? I tried to IM you but your contact info is grayed out. If you could try contacting me on your end instead, that would be great. And thank you so much.miss_scalia wrote:Wow. I didn't know this was a thing. The same thing happens when I try to message you! Your name is also grayed out. I even tried creating a new account, and I am still unable to see a messenger tab. Could you perhaps e-mail me and I can chat/provide you with my skype/number there?dreamofNYC wrote:Thank you for your response. I would be happy to chat via private IM.
