Does Mich use your actual prior MBE score? A lot of states don't

I wish that was the case. Seems like that's the old formula and now it's just essay + mbe/2underthirty wrote:IIRC, you would need 76 out of a possible 150 points on the essays to pass Michigan. A total score of 135 out of 200 is passing. The formula to determine your final total score is:
[(4/3) x (15 essay total score) + (MBE scaled score)] / 2.

With that MBE score you likely have significant cushion.
Regardless, I recommend the book by Holly Glazier for essay studying, in addition to the past few exams & model answers, of course. I did "traditional" bar study for the July 2014 exam, but I supplemented heavily with the Glazier book as the test approached. I passed easily, with a lower MBE than you have.
