PA Bar Essay Grading
Can anyone who's taken the PA bar give some insight into how stringently the essays are graded? I really didn't feel confident at all about my essays and know I made a lot of errors/missed issues.

Re: PA Bar Essay Grading
Passed PA last year, and hit the required Barbri PA essay target (I think they ask for you to get 13/20 or something). I remember thinking that they were a little harsh on a few in particular, but overall it was pretty fair considering I spent much more time on the MBE and only the last week and a half on essays. My highest grade was a 17 and lowest was a 10, with a few others mixed in between.
Granted this is all anecdotal, so take it with a huge grain of salt, but: the ones I got 10 on were the ones I made up law on almost completely (ex. property). The ones where I got between 13 to 15 were ones where I knew one or two of the questions, but maybe not all of them and had to fudge a few things. The one I got 17 on was one I was absolutely sure I did well (corporations).
I wouldn't worry. I'm sure you'll be fine; I think they look for ways to help you where they can.
