Adaptibar Gets Tougher?
I have been doing 50 questions on adaptibar everyday. I was doing very well (80-90%) for the first week or so, no I am hitting 65% consistently.
My overall average is still at 75%. I am worried. I need my MBE to carry me (ESL) and this does not seem high enough.
I heard that adaptibar 'adjusts' to focus on weaknesses so could this be what i am seeing?

Re: Adaptibar Gets Tougher?
Don't think so. I've done around 2/3 of the questions so far, and I've experienced double digit percentage increases in virtually all categories. If you play around with the date filter under subject performance and break down "national" and "your state's" #'s from March-April, April-May, May-June, June-July, etc... you'll see a fairly massive jump in everyone's performance just from familiarity with the material and presumably having fixed your points of weakness as identified by the performance analysis.
I don't recognize questions getting any harder or easier. In fact, I don't even think the Adaptibar "Adaptation" algorithm even adjusts for "difficulty" to begin with. And besides, too often, difficulty is relative. Do you turn on the analysis feature for your PQ's? Questions that apparently only 19% got right were incredibly easy for me, and questions that i spent way over 2 minutes on and got wrong, 75% destroyed in under a minute and got right.
My total % is exactly 74.5% right now, but frankly, it's not important at all. All I care about is that my "points of weaknesses" now become my strength after I review the crap out of it.
I used to suck at crim pro hard (literally at 40%), hit it hard for 2 days straight, and now it's at 85%.
Just don't do the problems, then skim over wrong question answer explanations. A single day of reviewing ALL of your wrong questions has more than once led to instantaneous and substantial improvements. Print that fucker out in pdf, and pore through them, recognize patterns, and whatnot.
Good luck. I sure as hell will need it.

Tanks for the advice. My scores went back up. I think I was just tired or hit a bad string or something haha.
How do you turn analysis on?

Never mind me I found the statistics. WOW What a nice feature. I will be using this from now.
I have always been reading the answers I get wrong and right (the full supplied answer). What more do you suggest? Printing out the pdf and annotating or what? I am scoring near 95% these days (question sets of 50).
THANK YOU FOR YOUR HELP

Should I fell good if I am over 75% accuracy on Adaptibar overall? I heard they are easier than the real bar, but then from others I've heard that it's a good predictor of your actual performance within a couple percentage points on the real bar (as Adaptibar claims). Thoughts?

Do you 'pass' often? I think that could / would dorp youre actual score down quite a bit from your proposal I don't.MoneyMay wrote:Should I fell good if I am over 75% accuracy on Adaptibar overall? I never pass because on the actual MBE I won't be able to pass, so I am preparing myself for the carnage by always going through it (even when there is a 5 paragraph property question I want to pass oh so badly).bigstumpdriver wrote:Do you 'pass' often?
