Post by bigstumpdriver » Mon Jul 14, 2014 7:42 pm

The real MBE questions are supposed to be easier. I also bought barmax's MBE app, and have been scoring well on Property which was one of my worst sections. Barbri operates from a business perspective, so they won't pay the costs to license the real MBE questions, especially when they can make their own and make them harder to freak out students into studying more to increase their pass rates. Smart business move for barbri, bad for students. Either way, barbri has nothing to lose and everything to gain.

Had the same experience. I am afraid that if the real bar is easier, I will be too used to the Kaplan stuff and start over-thinking some of the answers.

But yeah... some of the adaptibar questions were total jokes.

You're doing fine, bub. 63% is most typically passing on the real thing, especially with the scaled bump.

How about hitting averages on the MPQ sets since they are supposed to be harder. Is this fine?

I'm scoring 75% on Adaptibar which is my exact percentage I hit on the simulated MBE, so who the fuck knows.

Ugh. I have not looked at adaptibar since I do not have money for it. How does question length compare to the barbri ones? I am finding a time crunch on a lot of the longer questions.

Much shorter except Property, which are as bad or worse.

I've been around 55%-60% on Barbri. 80% on the Emanuels. They are noticeably easier and shorter, although I performed roughly the same on the Emanuels evidence Qs as I did on the Barbri evidence Qs. Are the questions in the Emanuels book outdated or something?

Barbri questions are harder, period. They are harder than pretty much every source, and they are a magnitude of difficulty harder than the actual MBE. If you go compare a jurisdiction that has mbe statistics for a past year, you will see that barbri's Sim exam is pretty much more difficult in every category except Torts.

Emanuels are probably a bit more basic because the questions are written to each highlight one rule, and they don't really repeat that rule.

You know...I don't know if I find Emanuels easier. I score higher on them but I feel puzzled a lot more than with Barbri. I think it's just a matter of getting used to how they're asked, so I'm glad I bought the book

Are Emanuel the same as Adaptibar?

How old are these questsions? Have things changed? If I"m already doing all of them whats the point in buying PMBR  Thanks for the suggestion but only so much time

They're the same questions (real MBE). I know the real MBE doesn't use the one question stem, two question format anymore.
