BARBRI Essay Grades
Anyone know how much stock to put in the grades BARBRI gives on submitted practice essays?
A couple of my grades have been quite low for seemingly no reason, given the comments. Just missed a minor nuance or two. I can't imagine the real graders are so strict. Any insight?

Also it is important to have someone behind you at this stage. Do you have a bar partner yet? I have my bf J that pulls on me when I'm down
and I give him a tug when he needs to get up for another round of mbe
Good luck! We are all in this together.

I am sorry, but this above comment just looks so bad. I couldn't stop laughing reading it.

Re: BARBRI Essay Grades
I took the California bar a couple of years ago. I submitted two essays for grading. Got 55s on both.
On the actual exam, I wrote essays that seemed no better than what I had submitted to BarBri, and I passed the bar.

Are you in California? I found barbri grading to be unhelpful. When I compared the grades I received to the real graded examples online that scored 55, 65, 70+ it did not match up.TheFactor wrote:Anyone know how much stock to put in the grades BARBRI gives on submitted practice essays?

I compared my practice essays to the real ones that scored 55, 65, 75, etc on BarEssays.com. That was the only way I found to consistently figure out how my practice essays measured up.plath wrote:where are you seeing online essays by the grade they received?james11 wrote:Are you in California?
