Barbri MBE Questions

Post by AJS30 » Wed May 21, 2014 10:31 pm

Does anyone know if the Barbri MBE materials are enough or is it suggested that you purchase additional materials such as a PMBR book?

To piggy-back, does anyone know if the "Practice Questions" (a specific category of the materials online) are different from what we have in the book and via StudySmart? I noticed that the "Practice Questions" aren't assigned except for a couple of 50-question sets in late July, and am wondering if the subject-specific categories might be helpful review as we go through the material, or if they're redundant.

Barbri certainly has enough of their questions for you to review. However, the mbe format is "different" from anything else you will see so, if you have the cash, it's not a complete waste to get the pmbr question bank which hits on some different areas not covered by Barbri and gives you a different style to adjust to. I found it valuable to learn how to adapt to different styles of test questions because the mbe format is different than the prep test companies (even the released mbe questions are somewhat different although they might have released a new practice exam that might be in line with the current question style) so you will have to do some adapting on the fly inevitably on test day.

I disagree (I legitimately couldn't tell a difference between Barbri mbe's and the real thing) but that's still a good point. It's probably possible to get a little too keyed into one particular style.
