What Does First-Time Taker Mean?
Just curious: when states compile statistics distinguishing between first-time takers and repeaters, does first-time taker refer to someone who is taking the bar exam for the first time in general OR does it mean someone who is taking the bar exam for the first time in that particular state.

Almost positive it means someone taking it for the first time in that state, regardless of whether the individual has taken other bar exams.
I have only taken 2 bar exams, but each one only asked if I had taken that jurisdiction's exam before.
