Wills & Trusts for Bar?
Rising 3L. Deciding to take wills, trusts, and future interests to prepare me for the bar. However, I have zero interest W&T and would rather take courses I'm more interested in (there are time conflicts).
Can I learn everything I need to through bar prep, or is this one of those classes I better take now?
Thanks!

I would take Wills & Trusts. It will also help with the Property MBE questions.

Depends on the state, I guess, but I never took W&T because I'd rather slather myself in honey and jump into a pit of hungry, rabid wolverines. Did fine on the bar.

This. I bombed the Trusts question on the bar. Still passed.kalvano wrote:Depends on the state, I guess, but I never took W&T because I'd rather slather myself in honey and jump into a pit of hungry, rabid wolverines. Did fine on the bar.

I'd take Wills and Trusts. Since you plan to take it when you're a 3L, the learning curve during bar prep won't be as steep.

I took Wills and Trusts, and killed it on the bar. Does it matter?
If you think you might fail the bar, then take it.
Edit: I realized what I said about passing the bar being easy was a bit harsh, but really, it is easy and if you fail it's probably because (1) you didn't study much, or (2) you are not meant to be a lawyer.

Absolutely disagree on #2, especially since I know quite a few people that passed the bar exam on the 3rd or 4th time. #1 might account for the repeating but I absolutely don't think #2 applies to those who keep trying and ultimately pass. However, I would only agree with #2, when someone tried once or twice then gave up; that just shows they really didn't want to be an attorney all that much.Flanker1067 wrote:I took Wills and Trusts, and killed it on the bar. I did not think taking that class was necessary to pass the bar at all
Neither wills or trusts is that hard
