I realize NY has more examinees than other states, but there doesn't seem to be any reason they can't hire more graders. Several UBE states have had their results for weeks now. If the delay continues into November, they'll be taking almost as long as a state (CA) whose exam has twice as much essay material. There's really no good explanation for that.
Too late for us, but perhaps some collective action to put the issue front and center before people who have power of the purse. Something like tax revenues are constantly down, you have a group of people who able, ready and willing to work thus meaning more money for state's coffers for FY; however many of these are not hire able because a state agency takes a long time to grade a licensing exam. Show the legislature the purse strings, the folks that have investigative power and the power to work behind the scenes with the COA as this is a mini monopoly; maybe a threat to split BOLE 25% into 4 parts and give each AD the power to hire graders from state pool, do C&F before the bar like others (licensed lawyers make more), etc. etc. State standards administered by each dept, would make economic sense because first and second would have to compete with third and fourth for time in state because of the precious fees...incentive fees too.
But who am I, just some other candidate awaiting his score.

Both are someone told someone who told someone who told my friend. So take that for what it is worth. But the two original sources are apparently a judge and a firm partner who works with BOLE.LionelHutzJD wrote:Elaborate?didntretake wrote:Today I've heard two completely unconfirmed, fourth or fifth hand rumors that results are coming out Thursday 10/20.
Again, these are unconfirmed and unproven. But they have truthiness.

I don't understand why you give her a hard time. Everything on this board is rumors. So what - thats why people come here. If there was a definitive released date none of us would be discussing on this thread. She heard a rumor and shared. Its all good.

Release date rumors are part of the waiting game. At least it keeps us occupied for the time being...zoomzoom88 wrote:hockeyman969 wrote:We've had "confirmed rumors" and people looked like ass hats on the NJ board.rkreymer wrote:didntretake wrote:Today I've heard two completely unconfirmed, fourth or fifth hand rumors that results are coming out Thursday 10/20.

New York's bar is cheap as f, and you'll find out when you find out. Do you work for BOLE? That's the kind of response I expect from a government employee at the suggestion the cheese be moved.Mlk&Ckies wrote:New York's bar is cheap as f, and you'll find out when you find out. Edit, I don't care it's cheap. They could charge a grand like Florida and I would be happier if they had set score release date and something closer to beginning October.

I think November 2nd. I've reviewed the patterns and I've noticed that when the 31st falls on the last Saturday of a month or later (Saturday-Wednesday) results are released in the first days of November. (I.e. There is no immediate Tuesday or Wednesday before the 31st) The last time the dates fell on the same exact days as this year was in 2011. The results came in November 2nd.

You come to a message board and tell someone to shut up. Do you realize how stupid that makes you look? Answer: very stupid. That, plus you don't know what a gift horse is.Mlk&Ckies wrote:New York's bar is cheap as f, and you'll find out when you find out. I'm not trolling, you guys are being the worst kind of people right now. Parsing release data, attacking each other of the most ridiculous minutia, and bumping a thread incessantly making it completely useless.
The bar process has been actually pretty breezy in ny. I'm happy it's cheap (fuck you privileged bastard who would charge all of us $1000 more just so you can salve your insecurity complex three weeks early) and BOLE's system has worked without a hitch so far for me. Grow up and stop posting assinine shit.

Yeah for a poor state to catch up with the times and start funding stuff. The fee is ridiculously low and the court system's budget is underfunded each year. I'm a problem solver. How has it been finding that first lawyer job. Before you go off on me, I'm a clerk and just accepted a post-clerkship offer.

Duuuude...take some deep breaths there. It's a forum. People post on forums. For the most part the posts have been related to the topic. If you don't want to be part of the thread, then don't be. Some people use it to chat and share the anxiety of waiting for results. It's all good. Let's all be cool here.Mlk&Ckies wrote:I'm not trolling, you guys are being the worst kind of people right now.
