I am outlining Property lecture handout and have been at it for hours (only on pp. 14); at this rate I will have everything ready by February's bar.

How do you guys outline something that's already an outline?

98 pages.. The idea was to go over the material at the same time. But wtf knows anymore.

Condensed outlines. You add in accurate yet concise rule statements for easy reference instead of flipping through giant tomes. You're outlining the outline by extracting and paraphrasing the rules from the ouline (and lecture notes, class notes, statutes you find online, etc.). You make each line earn its place!rinkrat19 wrote:How do you guys outline something that's already an outline?
More accurately, you're not recreating outlines; you are making a tool to make your life easier. The more you do practice questions and essays, the more you can tell which issues and sub-issues are important... and be able to limit each subject to a few pages.

I liked his lecture but it turned out to be almost useless when it came time to do practice questions.Danger Zone wrote:Serious answer: definitely, yes3|ink wrote:I have torts with roger schechter scheduled for tomorrow. Serious question: am I better off just outlining from the CMR?

Man. You had him out in California too? Is this the only guy they have teaching torts?Tiago Splitter wrote:I liked his lecture but it turned out to be almost useless when it came time to do practice questions.Danger Zone wrote:Serious answer: definitely, yes3|ink wrote:I have torts with roger schechter scheduled for tomorrow. I did that a couple of weeks ago. I pretty much devoted an entire Sunday to Property. It literally took me -- no joke -- 7 hours, if I don't count the breaks I had to take from having an information meltdown.Ineedhelpplease wrote:I am outlining Property lecture handout and have been at it for hours (only on pp. 14); at this rate I will have everything ready by February's bar.

On another note, when is the Simulated MBE for y'all?
My PSP says July 7th. I thought I read somewhere that it was supposed to be at the end of June?

Is the most recent emmanuel the 2nd edition? If I order it I want to make sure to get the best one! Anyone who has bought it know? Thanks!

I'm doing the same. These outlines are getting quite a bit longer than 10 pages each. I wonder how helpful it is...
When is all this memorization supposed to happen? With all the lecture videos, MBE sets, and outlining, there isn't a whole lot of time to pour over the materials and memorize BLL

The amazon reviews say the red book is better than the blue(?) book. I think both were 2012 editions.HLBE689 wrote:Is the most recent emmanuel the 2nd edition? If I order it I want to make sure to get the best one! Anyone who has bought it know? Thanks!

I'm outlining nothing and have no plans to. But that's not really how I've ever studied so I'm not about to start now.

To each is own. Outlining helps me internalize. And I need to reread it every time I attempt a set of questions.mushybrain wrote:I'm outlining nothing and have no plans to. But that's not really how I've ever studied so I'm not about to start now.

Re: BarBri Bar Review Hangout - July 2015 Exam
I'm doing flash cards for each subject focused on the elements of main stuff (products liability not false light) and my flash cards are between 8-15 depending on the subject. I've already started memorizing but have only done 5 subjects (I think NY has 19 total).
Btw I think people have said this above but TCR for studying is whatever has worked for you in the past. For me, making the flashcards helps me memorize and then I can use them while doing something else (watching baseball, on the subway) to learn the material.

I effing give up on property. I'd be better off just picking B or C the entire section and moving on.

I totally feel you. Just thought I'd out myself as a non-outliner in case anyone was feeling overwhelmed/lazy by so many people doing the work. lol.3|ink wrote:To each is own. For Barbri Texas people:
Apparently 7/1 we have a "simulated written exam." However, all 56 pages of it are only listed in the info section online (meaning we have to print out everything). I'm thinking this exercise is self-graded but I am not seeing model answers anywhere. Anybody have more color on this?

Mine's 22 I think. But now I'm pretty solid on property and don't miss but extremely narrow stuff that BARBRI's looking at.3|ink wrote:LOL. My property outline is like 25 pages.

When you go to your home page on the PSP, what are your study numbers? I'm getting behind on the PSP but I feel like I've done a ton of MBE questions not in my plan because I do about 5-10 whenever I get the chance on the phone app.
So when I look at the home page I've done 865 questions so far. Is that normal? Less than normal? More than normal?

The seperac outlines seem to be good, short, based on barbri and you can edit them. So theres that for those, like me, who are bad at outlinining.
That bobbi brown joke in property is even in there.. Its the grantor's "perogative"
