Passed Ohio. 182.6 scaled MBE. I don't recall any string of Ds on my test. For that matter, I don't even remember 'D' answers coming up more frequently than others.
Did BarBri: I don't remember my midterm raw score, but it was something around 170. Dipped a little on the refresher. Typically scored around 77% on the MPQs, 85%ish on the mixed sets.
Good luck to all still waiting!

Re: July 2015 MBE Scores/Results
I was really surprised. Had to read the score report a few times just to make sure I wasn't missing something. I do generally test well, but I think I must have gotten lucky on some of these Qs--there were a decent number that I had narrowed down to 50/50 but had to guess from there.
FWIW, I agree with the general consensus on this forum (I post rarely but lurk frequently) that the BarBri practice questions felt very different from the real thing. Obviously I'm not complaining--but if I test in another jurisdiction, I will probably just buy an outline and Adaptibar.

Re: July 2015 MBE Scores/Results
For CBX takers and anyone else still waiting: Passed Ohio. 154.1 scaled score. Ohio doesn't provide a raw score. I self-studied using old Kaplan books I bought from a friend and Adaptibar. Took a practice test in the Emanuel's book for my "midterm", scored a 155 raw out of 200 (but I had seen many of the questions on Adaptibar before, so my score was probably unrealistically inflated.) Took an old NCBE test for my "final" the day before the test and scored 78 raw out of 100 (ditto on the unrealistic inflation due to seeing many questions before). Used Adaptibar for daily practice, did 1500 questions, overall had 74% correct on those. Assuming the scale in Ohio was 15 points, I got approximately 73% of the questions correct on test day, so if you used Adaptibar, your overall score on that is probably a reliable indicator of your test-day performance.
Test day was a blur. Definitely had the string of Ds. Had no idea where any of those mortgage or civ pro questions came from. Walked out thinking it was probable that I'd failed the MBE, and that absolute BEST case scenario I would pass by the skin of my teeth (132 in Ohio). So if you are worried that you failed, don't be--if you were consistently getting passing scores in practice in the weeks leading up to the test, you are almost certainly fine, even if, like me, you weren't 100% sure on a single MBE question.
If anyone has questions on self-studying, feel free to PM me. Am happy to provide my schedule, etc. Took a calculated risk based on advice I got on TLS and other places. Wound up scoring in 76th percentile in Ohio.

As I wait for Texas results to post in less than 66 hours, this is post is definitely uplifting. I cannot get over how strange and numb I felt after leaving the MBE.

Passed NY. 142 MBE, 126 barbri midterm (kind of timed.. I took a few hour long breaks whenever I felt sleepy lol).
And seriously, robinhoodOO, I give you major major props for being so committed and dedicated to this spreadsheet for all of us to view. I'd give you gold if this were reddit, so unfortunately all I can give you here is my respect, which has minimal value. But no joke, thanks a lot for all of your hard work on this spreadsheet!

Re: July 2015 MBE Scores/Results
Failed NY with 128.1 MBE.
Prep was roughly 3k questions, all of the PMBR redbook, all of Adapitbar (excl. civil procedure).
Adaptibar MBE exams were 1 low 70's, 3 around 80, and 1 84.
Looking back I neglected civil procedure too much, skimming outlines and hoping for the best on the day killed me.
Well, that and a 31 on the MBE which I will never understand. I spent 90 mins writing, and got a lower score by far than some people who claim they wrote for 25mins and got half a page down and still scored mid 40's.
I felt well prepared with Adaptibar fwiw and walked out thinking I had done much better.

Re: July 2015 MBE Scores/Results
Haven't posted in about three years, but figured I'd share FWIW. Took NY/NJ. I took Barbri and completed about 80-85% of the assigned work. Most of the essays I just kind of sketched out because of time constraints. Had some serious worries about NY essays. I also supplemented for the MBE by doing questions out of the Emmanuel books, which had much more helpful explanations than Barbri. I also looked at NY Lean Sheets as the exam got closer to see what topics come up the most in NY. I got a 129 raw on the Barbri midterm (142 scaled) and the exact same percentage score on the final 100 question practice set. Felt like every practice test was hit or miss because I could narrow each question down to two choices. Abandoned the Barbri schedule about two weeks before the exams and mostly focused on NY essays and trouble MBE topics. Walked out of NY essay day feeling terrible, then walked out of MBE day feeling *OK* but knowing that if I chose incorrectly on the many questions I could only narrow down to two choices I may have failed. Ended up at 171.1 MBE and passed NY. Not sure if Barbri was more difficult or if I had a good day. Either way I think Barbri + Emmanuel was the most helpful way for me to study. I know a few people who took Adaptibar, but I felt most comfortable (mostly) sticking to the Barbri schedule and doing Emmanuel questions when I had the energy. Hope this helps a little.

Update (144 Takers): https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/ ... edit#gid=0
Lots of good news and some bad. Looks like TX is up next?!
The TLS average sits at close to 151 (which would be higher than the national average) and the differential between PT's and the actual MBE sits at 24.5. I don't want to glean too much from this as I suspect people who didn't pass are less likely to report in, but I suspect many TLSer's are more prepared than the average taker
Glad to hear this has helped keep people sane (I know I'm slightly more bearable to be around). AND: 17 DAYS FOR CA (http://apps.calbar.ca.gov/exam/). You'll need your applicant number, file number, and a 6-pack or bottle of wine.

Ohio bar exam
179.90 weighted MBE.
I took themis and completed around 80% of the coursework, and I also used a dry erase board to write out rule statements in preparation.

WOW wow and WOW! Congrats! I got the dry erase idea from this board and it helped my ass so much. I used the big dry erase board in the library private study room to pretend teach and the small one to kick back on my bed to write the rules again and again.Capital Grad wrote:Ohio bar exam

No, but I can tell you it wasn't that high. I think I may have averaged about 75-80 % right on the simulated mbe and a similar % on practice sets. I do remember that civ pro jurisdiction was realitivly heavy on themis when compared to the actual mbe.mike.alexander23 wrote:Do you recall your Themis simulated MBE score?Capital Grad wrote:Ohio bar exam

LL.M. student. English is not my first language.
Did Barbri (100% of the assignments) + 2 or 3 sets of 50 MBE questions. Bought Critical Pass flashcards (I think they are great).
Passed NY with 135.4 MBE. I'm always more comfortable with essays than multiple choice questions. I had the string of Ds in the morning session.
Did only 96 on the Barbri midterm. Between 60 and 62 for the Refresher. I really started memorizing after the midterm.
