Do test takers fund the entire cost of the exam? $800+ seems expensive. The tax payers should help fund this

Law schools should be responsible for funding the cost of their students' first bar exam for X number of times and/or until they pass. (imo)6TimeFailure wrote:Do test takers fund the entire cost of the exam? $800+ seems expensive. The tax payers should help fund this

That would give NCBE a very good excuse to make the bar examination as hard as possibleMTBike wrote:Law schools should be responsible for funding the cost of their students' first bar exam for X number of times and/or until they pass. Man, I could have learned a substantial chunk of a programming language with the time and effort I've spent on this bar retake. And if I combine both attempts...

Ruby or Python for starters, both of them are supposedly relatively easy to learn compared to other languages.jamescastle wrote:Which ones you thinking about?MrMustache wrote:Man, I could have learned a substantial chunk of a programming languages with the time and effort I've spent on this bar retake. is one of the most often cited intros to Python. It's what I used and it helped me.
Really though: The best way I've learned Python is to come up with a problem that I know is doable in Python and then find a way to code it. Learning through your own made up problems is a lot of times better than using some book or something with lots of little three line baby examples.
Example: Create a probability distribution for how well you think you did on each section of the bar exam. Then run 10,000 simulations and see how often you passed.

Re: BarBri Bar Review Hangout - February 2016 Exam
Anybody else have sudden drops in their MBE scores this past week? I've been confident for a couple months with strong MBE scores in Barbri and Adaptibar, and now suddenly every answer choice looks plausible and I have the worst time trying to narrow it down to even two. Don't know if stress or burn-out is setting in, but its an awful feeling going into the last couple days of prep.
