I've gone from feeling good/fairly confident to feeling like crap, mostly because I really didn't think I failed the last time I sat. I'd insert an emoji but there's no emoji for the way I feel. Sometimes I'm just totally apathetic. *sigh*
I've been feeling the exact same way!
Em Banc and Boquita44...I hear you. I was feeling really confident after the test and for the first couple of weeks. Now, as results come closer I'm scared that I might be wrong and over-confident. It's horrible.

It's just a one page note that contains our fate.
I have a lot of retirees as neighbors, and they've kept tabs on the habits of the mailman for the past month. I've got about a two-hour window where he should arrive tomorrow. I've wondered whether he is aware that he has the eyes of a gaggle of old ladies following his every move. #squadgoals
OMG...so do you know how your friends did that already got their results today? Were they re-takers? I gotta hear some news!
Cracking up at the retirees stalking the postman. That poor bastard.

And "gaggle."
Dying! LMAOOOOO!! Gaggle of old ladies... hahaaa

Thank you for being so uplifting! I will get my results Wednesday if they were mailed Monday. No matter how long the waiting is, the last few days when you know it's imminent are the worst

Ugg! Had mail been delivered got you today yet? I was hoping they hot them out last Thursday for you guys. I know my hands would be shaking trying to open the envelope.
Are there any clues by the envelope itself? Thicker if you passed? More postage? Here, they say you can tell because it's thicker if you pass because they include info on the swearing in ceremony, etc.
Good luck!!

I am glad that I could at least lighten the mood in here. This is waiting is the worst. At least my squad is full of excellent cooks with lots of free time and an appreciation for comfort food. I guess if I don't pass, I can just shift my energy from working at a job to working on developing an excellent case of type 2 diabetes.
I have heard second-hand on the people who got their letters today, but it's been from reliable sources. The people who have gotten their letters are not people I would feel comfortable with calling up and asking how it went, but I trust the friends from whom I received the information. Fingers crossed for all of us for good results!

Does anybody know the typical statistics on pass rate for second-time test takers?
On another note, this message board has been a new comfort for me. Nobody I hang out with can relate to the stress and anxiety waiting for results gives me. It's nice chatting away with you guys who are in the same boat.

Agreed... I am taking comfort in this thread... except I find myself checking it every hour or so hoping someone will post that they got their results and that they passed and everyone they know passed. I feel like I'll be sitting on the edge of my seat until my results are posted on Friday.

From what I've seen, retakers have a lower pass rate. Looking at Oregon's stats, it ranges from 10-50% worse.
Retakers in Feb do better than retakers in July, though. Which makes sense, since plenty of people pass the 2nd time (usually Feb) but if someone is retaking in July it's much more likely to be their 3rd or more try and they're probably more likely to be someone who's just never going to get it.

Being just outside the one day mail range of Raleigh I fully expect results in my mailbox tomorrow. After failing the first time all I can say is nausea is at an all time high. Doubt I'll sleep much and contemplating taking tomorrow off. Sadly my mail doesn't get here until 3-3:30 in the afternoon

I haven't heard from anyone in NC who has personally received results. No results in the Triad today. Will probably be tomorrow or later (ugh) if mailed Monday. Boss introduced me to someone as an attorney today and I had to step in and correct her. Can't handle that kind of jinx right now. Fingers crossed for everyone!

I've now seen an actual letter from someone in RDU on Facebook confirming passing... So get ready and let the fun begin. It does concern me that some triangle people don't appear to have received letters yet, though. I will be a wreck if it doesn't end tomorrow, one way or another.

When people start posting whether they passed or failed, can you also mention whether or not you were a repeater and maybe how you felt after the exam? Thanks! And good luck everyone

I've now talked to two people that passed. One took it for the first time and felt good. One person took it as a repeat taker (second time) and felt absolutely terrible. So... I don't know that this has been very helpful, but I burned through all my work this morning in an effort to pass the time until I can go home and wait for the mailman, so I figured I would share.
Good luck, everyone.

So happy to have found this thread - misery loves company, after all. I felt fantastic for the first month post-bar upon return to the world of the living, and then tossed and turned in a cold sweat Sunday night realizing results would be out in a matter of weeks. I'm in mass so we still have quite a ways to go - but anxious to hear how the results pan out for the early states. Good luck NC-ers who are waiting on results this week!

Hey. I'm in MA. I'm a repeater. Missed it by 1.9 points in July. I felt great after the exam and still feel pretty hopeful about it. I think what's making me nervous is that people mention the stats of repeaters....apparently few repeaters pass! I just felt that the MBE this time around was way better than in July.

When I see posts like this, it makes me so nervous! I'm not a repeater, but I feel like I've seen a lot of repeaters post that the MBE this time around was way better than in July. I thought the MBE sucked! I felt like I was able to narrow it down to two (most of the time) and then it was a guessing game... I can't imagine how that could be any better or worse than July. Did you actually feel confident coming out of the MBE?

Remember that repeaters = ALL repeaters, and not just immediate retakers. Includes people who took the bar once, failed, worked somewhere for 5 years, then took the bar again. From what I've gathered, repeaters taking the next bar exam after their failed one have pretty good pass rates.

Let's do that spreadsheet again. People should put how they felt walking out, and should put their MBE score and their practice MBE score

I got my results... I passed! I missed July by only a few points, which was horrible. All of my friends passed. This time, because I was working, I felt like I had to study smarter rather than harder. I got my MBE scores up, but I was nervous both before and after taking it because I didn't feel like I knew as many nuances as I did when I had 12 hours a day to study in the summer. I came out feeling better than I did in July, but I was uncertain on how I did until I opened my letter. Good luck to those of you still finding out. This thread has been extremely comforting to me over the past few days. If anyone needs anything or has any questions that I can answer (I don't know what those would be, but I'll at least offer), I'll be more than happy to help.

Congratulations!!!! Did you notice any correlation between your practice MBE tests and the real one? Also, how much did you MBE score go up? Once again congrats!!!
