I have to really step up my game for real property, and contracts. Its hit and miss for civ pro, they are fake questions, the real ones have short one answer (one word/sentence) not 3-4 sentences of the same thing with one or two distractors.

wow you're a maniac lol :)

i've only done 450 at %70. My goal is (but now, maybe was) to do 50 a day.

At least I know I'm not the only one having difficulty with CivPro.

I'm taking Themis (nearly every question is online), so this aspect of Adaptibar has not impacted my timing, but I do remember reading a study which found that the average individual reads 25% slower on a computer than on paper. Hope that helps.
plus we don't get to use our pencils to mark/encircle key words etc.

I plan to do Barbri's simulated mbe soon. we'll see how that goes.

71.1% at 225 answered. My substantive lectures are not finished until next week so after that is when I plan to pick the pace of questions up a bit.

What lectures are you taking and are they live lectures?

PA lectures. I was originally signed up for the live lectures, but decided to just study from home after a few weeks. Of course, I can always try to watch civ pro lectures within the next few days and get my base on Adaptibar bar by completing the 50 questions for each subject.

How many Adaptibar questions can I reasonably expect to get through in an hour? Yup, feeling desperate

well, on the actual MBE you need to do 33-34 an hour, so you could go for that. Harder to review at that pace. I probably do 20 an hour.

If you already have a lecture from some other source, there's really no point.

Thanks for the Adaptibar speed info. I'll start in study mode first, and practise speed later (somehow).

I didn't buy any from Adaptibar, but I bought a Domestic Relations lecture (didn't get a good one from Barbri) and 12 hour review (which is hammering the essentials into my head) elsewhere. That said, the utility of a lecture depends on what kind of learner you are.

Not worth it, imo. Just try Strategies and Tactics. Maybe if they offered the entire Con law set for $15, then I'd go for it; they give a good global picture and understanding and tips. I bought one video and it was a little similar to Strategies and Tactics. My score didn't dramatically improve, maybe went up by 1 or 2 problems in that section from 50% to 60%.

anyone else have a really uneven distribution of subjects? I have it set to ask me everything except civ pro questions, but I've gotten only 3 property questions, 3 torts, and 6 contracts questions, while getting 30 criminal law questions, 25 evidence, and 16 con law. After doing 83 questions, the differences should be pretty much even by now.

Edit: oh, apparently that's the whole point of the "adapti" part of adaptibar. It's kind of an overreaction though, I got like 3 lucky answers for property in a row and it figured I was done.

This is one of the reasons I have hesitated to get adaptibar. I worry that it would assess my weaknesses based on a very small data pool.

So the US SC just held that "preventing same-sex people from marrying violated their constitutional right to due process under the 14th Amendment and that the states were unable to put forth a compelling reason to withhold that right from people" (yahoo news).

Thus, remembering a CivPro Adaptibar question, any pending federal case on the same topic must be dismissed by the plaintiff's lawyers. Otherwise, they would be in effect certifying to a frivolous lawsuit and would be subject to sanctions. Am I correct?

Wow, you guys have some serious numbers. I think I've only done around 60 questions, as a supplement to my barbri course....and those 60 are only from subjects I've studied in barbri so far. I guess I'll ramp it up in the next month. Anyone else just doing this on the side?

Yep, I am also doing Barbri. Trying to get as many practice questions in as possible though. Sometimes I think this is a good primer for tackling barbri MPQ sets.

I'm doing themis, just got adaptibar for some extra practice. I like everything about adaptibar except the explanations are not as comprehensive as for themis, especially the wrong answer explanations. I think I'll probably hold off on doing much more adaptibar until the last couple of weeks.

I work full time and I've only done about 100 questions total.

Did you guys buy the full package (~$390 before discount) or the small package ($290 before discount)? I'm trying to decide if I'll ever need freakin 1700 questions.

Isn't the cheaper one just for the CA baby bar? That's not the same as the MBE.

This is my only MBE study aid. This is my 3rd time taking CBX so I am using my old material from LECC and Conviser mini reviews to study. When I get an MBE question wrong, I copy the rule and put it in an outline( that I'm making). I have a huge outline now for each subject, I will condense as the time gets closer. So far, this is helping me a lot.

Seriously? What are you waiting for?
