I got around to doing the Simulated MEE this morning. The first essay was a disaster, but the other two were fine.
Also, I haven't really found the sets 5 any more ridiculous than the other sets, so far.

Agreed on both. The lecturer said it was straightforward, but I barely scored any points on it. The other two were fine. I've been consistently scoring about average on most practice sets the whole time I've been doing Barbri (sometimes above, sometimes one below or so, but usually right on point) and I'm continuing to do so. I think Sets 5 and 6 are really hard if you haven't improved from when you've done sets 1 and 2. But if you've improved and learned more, then sets 5 and 6 seem to be on par. Just my two cents.MCFC wrote:I got around to doing the Simulated MEE this morning. The first essay was a disaster, but the other two were fine.

What target should we be hitting on the 18 Q sets?

I've assumed Barbri's targets are fine.

Where are those? The little spedomator thing seems useless to me, it shows like weird bar graphs with like 3 data points. Maybe mine is messed up or I am not seeing a togglesublime wrote:Br3v wrote:What target should we be hitting on the 18 Q sets?

If you click on details for the assignment it tells you the average score (which is also the goal). I guess our goal is to be average?

Yea, on details it will list "targets" for each set. They are usually between 10 and 12 out of 18.

70/100 on OPE-4. Definitely a different feel than the Barbri questions. I recommend taking it over these later Barbri Sets.

Does anybody know if there is a way to access AMP for subjects that were not assigned to you?

Unfortunately, no. But I think it's good to get a feel for how they write these questions. It had a Crim Law/Pro question that involved Strict and Vicarious liability. The examiners can be tricky fuckers.Br3v wrote:Damn, Barbri doesn't cover that for $3k?LionelHutzJD wrote:100 questions from the 2013 MBE released by NCBE. Hah. I will at least do some stuff until happy hour.
And I have OPE 4 in Emmanuel's but they fucking have the answer right under every question so it is nearly worthless.

I also have a couple of the past exams, but I've been debating when to incorporate them into my studies. For whatever reason, I'm paranoid about keeping on BarBri's pace, and I usually only finish towards the end of the day. Maybe I'll use the "reflective period" on Saturdays as a time to do the OPE.
Also, how do you guys feel about the MEE essays? I don't think they're impossible or anything, but I feel like I keep missing one major issue, usually because I haven't seen it in a while and just forget. For yesterday's contract essay, for example,
I'm kind of worried about them throwing in a random issue that rarely comes up on the actual exam and just panicking. Anyone else experiencing this?

Same boat. Looking for input as well.SLS_AMG wrote:I also have a couple of the past exams, but I've been debating when to incorporate them into my studies. I think i'm going to go rouge from Barbri from now until the test and do my own thing. MBE questions, learning the MEE subject specific law and reading/writing out MEE model answers.
Is anyone else straying from Barbri?

I've strayed from Barbri since the Simulated MBE. My MBE prep has been mostly Adaptibar so that I make sure I have answered and reviewed all of the available questions before game day, and I mix in a Barbri Mixed Set at night just to keep a feel for Barbri's way of questioning. I'm ending with focusing entirely and heavily on the essays and MPTs next week.sublime wrote:I kinda want to, but I don't think I actually will.LionelHutzJD wrote:I think i'm going to go rouge from Barbri from now until the test and do my own thing. Also, on gameday, if we are hit with an MPT that requires a demand letter or jury instructions we will be given a format and everything we will need to understand how to do those right? (I have no clue what a proper demand letter or jury instructions look like)

I understand this is a little late in the game to be asking this, but will all the BarBri MBE questions be assigned eventually? In other words, am I going to miss out on practice questions if I only do my Personal Study Plan?

And I think they'll all get covered MCFC, but not sure
To be fair, I think this thread is much more neurotic than people at my firm/school appear generally. Maybe that's because they aren't being honest, but I like to think it's TLS being TLS

Re: BarBri Bar Review Hangout - July 2016 (UBE -NY)
this isn't meant to freak you out at all nor am I suggesting that sticking to the PSP is not sufficient (I think its fine) but there are a ton of other practice questions on the Barbri Enrolled Student Center that, to my understanding, don't get assigned in the PSP if you're looking for more! There's a bunch of additional 50 Mixed Sets and then Set A/Set B/Drill sets of 18Qs in each subject (but I have noticed some repeats in those sets of questioned assigned in the PSP so they definitely aren't all new)MCFC wrote:I understand this is a little late in the game to be asking this, but will all the BarBri MBE questions be assigned eventually?
