Any correlation between MPRE and Bar? I failed the MPRE. I studied for 2 hours.

When I was in law school, all the other kids told me I wouldn't need to study for the MPRE. So all I did was go to the lecture, skimmed the outline once and that's it. I failed the MPRE twice in 2013. I took the MPRE again this August. I listened to the Barbri lectures and did practice questions from the exams in the back of the Barbri book and practice questions on Themis (did not listen to Themis lectures) for about two days and I passed. I don't think 2 hours of studying is sufficient.

Yeah, people need to stop lying that the MPRE can be blown off until the day before. By the time the MPRE came around for me I'd already learned my lesson about people saying "pshaw! I never study" when secretly they do, so I put effort into it.

You know the score won't be out until late October, so you can just ignore the thread until then if you're not interested in discussing other things related to bar admission in NY?

Application by UBE Score Transfer has an available date of October 1, 2016 on BOLE. Does that mean we might be getting the scores before October 1, 2016?

No, I'm pretty sure that means people who have qualifying UBE scores from other jurisdictions can apply to transfer that score beginning Oct. 1.

I've heard from more than one person that they usually email you in the middle of the night.

It's a good thing. There's no reason to be anxious at work, and if you're awake at midnight you should be drunk anyway. Basically, if no results when you wake up in the morning, then today is not the day.

Going with 10/24 or 10/25 at midnight. They seem to like public releases on Tuesday or Wednesdays, so I'm pushing back our releases one day.

it seems that in the past few years, NY released their bar exam results one to two weeks after PA on a Tuesday/ Wednesday in the morning (around midnight). I got my score report in 2014 on Tuesday, October 28 at 12:01 in the morning.
