Application = exam? The bar exam is not an application - it's an examination. You can check the status of your moral character application, as noted above. If you took the bar exam, and uploaded your softest files (if you took it via a computer) then it's submitted. Just chill.
Yes, exam = application. Just take a look at the CA bar website. Under CALIFORNIA BAR EXAMINATION, it says APPLICATION STATUS.
Actually, no the exam is not an application. The exam is an exam. Looking under the Calbar page, each requirement shows an "applicant" status, such as the portion where it lists that the CA bar is an admissions requirement and afterwards an applicant status.
The "application" status under that refers to your application to take the test. Not the test itself. Further the only portion of this process that I recall ever being under review is the application for moral character.
I'm still unsure as to what you're referring to when you hope that they received your application. Nevertheless, other posters above were more helpful in clearing up any issues for you, i'm sure.

Anyone recall when they update with selected answers? I'm guessing it is after scores come out...

IIRC it is after scores come out, but it could be whenever they feel like posting it

Nope, had horrible flashbacks of CA civpro and easements. The more I think about it, the more I'm sure I only passed two essays.

Ah, so I only finally got to see that Civ Pro question. California Civ Pro clearly applies. Those of you defending the use of the FRCP in your answers made it seem like the questions were more ambiguous than they actually were:
2. Does the Superior Court of California in San Diego have personal jurisdiction
over:
a. Valerie? Discuss.
b. Meyer Corp.? Discuss.
3. Does venue properly lie in the Superior Court of California in San Diego?
Discuss.

Waste of money ordering ncbe score. NCBE won't release your score unless the jurisdiction you sat for exam has released

Did you make the conscious decision not to take in July when its a 2 day exam?
In some ways I think the 2 day exam would be easier because the MBE is given more weight, so you can fuck up more essays with less impact to your score. BUT, at the same time -- you don't have the 2 PT's which can really help to balance out a bad essay or two.

Guys I know this is 3 months late but I didn't use any headings for my essays. But I did try to organize it as well as possible
Screwed?
Also anyone know what time the results come out?

November 18 @ 6 pm. Hard to say. I think I recall seeing high-scoring answers on Baressays that didn't have headings. However, most that I saw that had a decent score did have some type of heading. Tough to say whether that means you're screwed or not. I wouldn't sweat it at this point.

Anecdotally, a friend took the CA bar sans headings and still passed, so it's not impossible.

Hadn't thought about the essay stuff at all, TBH. For me, its just that I don't want to completely forget the stuff I learned and the July one is worse timing wise. If I fail, I guess I'll get to take the two-day one, so that's good news!

Heart skipped a beat when I just saw email that confirmed release info. The 6 pm is CA time.

Agreed. Headings are very helpful for graders' impression of your answer, but a lack thereof won't ruin you if you otherwise did a great job.
