The issue of "noisy withdrawal" would show up here. It's a sub-issue of an issue, and I'm sure 95%+ of test-takers didn't reach it.

In CA this is not enough and thus I figured the complaint would fail, and since the claim is defective service of process is not valid. You need to have a valid complaint and summons.

I've never been to California. It's the largest state and it's very popular since it has mild weather and it has several large cities (LA, San Fran, San Diego). Since 75% of the people are Hispanic, I'd learn Spanish.

I'm not sure where 75% of the state is Hispanic comes from....but either way assuming you need to speak Spanish because all Hispanic people must not know or understand English seems assholey.

Seeing as how you don't even live here maybe it's an assumption you aren't qualified to make.

Considering most jobs in California do prefer a spanish speaker....he isn't too far off regardless of his reasoning being off and not being from California.

Is there a statistic you have to back the claim that most jobs in CA prefer a spanish speaker? Or that most legal jobs in CA prefer a spanish speaker?

I'd like to see that source, if you have it.

Don't be the guy who needs to correct every statistic he sees.

On another note, anyone else feel worse about the bar after the last couple months?

Right about now people should have entered a cycle of boredom and anxiety as they manually remember that they're waiting for results... or guilty over going on that post-bar trip even though they didn’t even pass yet

Two more months left! :) One could literally study for a bar exam during that period.

I'm not so sure that asking for a source is akin to "correcting" a statistic. Maybe a clarification is needed though, because i'm not so sure each field in the law would benefit from a Spanish speaker.

The bolded really made me understand just how long we still have until results come out.

LOL. If I wrote "only 25% of July 2016 test takers are expected to pass the California Bar," and if you asked me for the source of this information, you would not be "correcting" a statistic; you would be asking me to support my claim.

My bad. I assumed most people understood a hyperbole when they saw one, but then again, I don't have the statistics to support that. :P

Started working and every time I come across a bar related topic, my mind races back to question XYZ. It stresses me out, but goes away quickly. God, I can't wait for this to be over.

I also have the building fear of not passing and having to face everyone I work with, especially because I am getting attached.

You can call; however, other posts have said not much info is given out. I called after I Fedexed my hard copy and supporting documents to make sure the packet was received. I got confirmation before the website was updated. I was anxious, given that the packet included original docs. I haven't called since to find out my status beyond "under review" on the website. I haven't been too concerned, since the results haven't come out yet.

Initially, I think it said received. Once I got the email that the initial processing had been completed (after about 2 months), my status changed to under review (can take up to 180 days). Look under Admission Status:

"MORAL CHARACTER
Admission requirement: Have an active positive moral character determination on file
Applicant status: Requirement not satisfied
Application status: Moral Character Application under review"

To-date, it's been about 3 months since they received my application.

I'm confused. What application are you referring to? Do you mean results for July 2016? Those come out November 18. I don't know of any means to check your status on that.

Yes, I know results come out 11/18, I'm wondering if there's a way to check the status of the application to know that it's under review. I just want to make sure they have my exam!

Application = exam? The bar exam is not an application - it's an examination. You can check the status of your moral character application, as noted above. If you took the bar exam, and uploaded your softest files (if you took it via a computer) then it's submitted. Just chill.

Yes, exam = application. Just take a look at the CA bar website. Under CALIFORNIA BAR EXAMINATION, it says APPLICATION STATUS.

I believe that only applies as your application to take the bar is being evaluated for certification. Once you get the OK (and especially after you take the exam), this no longer applies.

Bottom line: if you have any unanswered questions, I would suggest you call the office. You always have that option. Even one of my references called to ask about how to answer the form and when she got a duplicate form.

You can check your application status online for admission to the California bar. That includes a section about whether you've passed the bar exam, the MPRE and the moral character application....all of which you need for admission for the bar.

However the results to the .CA bar site won't be updated before you get test results back on the official date

Seriously? What are you waiting for?

Now there's a charge.
Just kidding ... it's still FREE!
