During the last week I have read and re-read my favorite poem Invictus. The line that strikes me the most is "under the bludgeonings of chance my head is bloody, but unbowed." A negative result is a very real possibility for me because I left the MBE section feeling destroyed. For the essays and PT i felt I at least there the ball in the right direction, but those multiple choice for me were difficult, not to mention the weakest part of my bar prep program. For those who pass a huge congrats, and for those who don't also a huge congrats.

We are all lucky to be worrying about the bar. We are amongst the few who finished law school surviving the attrition and that dreaded curve. Maybe we don't end up on the good side of it this time, but we will because just like we pushed through in law school we will push beyond our limits and pass this dam thing.

This is basically how I feel. A part of me is happy to finally find out and move on with life, the other part is just not ready to know. #terrified.

Same to you both too! I just try to think it is only an exam (So I am told) but it feels like to much more. For example if I pass I can find a more challenging job (and a legally properly educated boss!).

I just keep trying to remember that I am in complete control of how I respond to the results on Friday. If I miraculously pass, I obviously know how I'll celebrate.

If I fail, I know this can either mean the universe is falling down and my normal life is over or that it's no big deal and I have to study again for a few months and just shrug off the temporary shame of having to tell all my friends and coworkers that I failed and have to shut them out again for another 3 months. I'm just praying I have enough self-control to experience the latter and won't let this ruin my life.

Yep, CA almost never passes anyone who falls in auto-regrade zone. State like TX passes almost everyone who falls in its auto-regrade zone.

Each day is getting worse and worse, I don't even want to know what tomorrow will feel like or even Friday morning. Any tips on how to keep your sanity for the next 48 hours?

I would try scheduling your worries for another time. Like literally set up a 1-hour block that says "worry about the bar" on your calendar for tomorrow at whatever time. That might help you forget about it now since you'll know you can worry all you want later. And who knows, you might not worry that much when you force yourself to tomorrow.

I had a dream that I passed last night. In my dream, I opened a letter from the state bar and it said that I passed. They were also delighted to announce that I passed. It was pure happiness reading that letter. I woke up after to only realize it was a dream.

I hope dreams do come true. Good luck to everyone

Today is Wednesday..TWO MORE DAYS LEFT!!! I've just been exercising and melting away the stress that comes with the wait.

Whatever happens, try to remember that passing or failing the California by God bar exam is not what defines who you are. How you handle those results — good or bad — will be the measure of your character.

If you pass, congratulations. Well done. You deserve to celebrate. But try to show a modicum of poise and restraint, at least publicly. Have a little empathy for those who get bad news. Many of them will be simply crushed. Please don't go on Facebook and post a bunch of photos of yourself making dumb faces in wild celebration. This is a profession, not a football game. Try to maintain your professional bearing. But you are absolutely entitled to celebrate. You've come a long way and made it to the top. You have just distanced yourself forever from most of your old friends in high school. Again, congratulations.

If you don't pass, man, I'm sorry. I lived through it once. It was a terrible heartache, a physical pain in the chest that didn't go away for weeks. But it isn't fatal. You need to remember that your dignity and pride are still intact. Hold your head up. Look everybody squarely in the eye and tell them, "I didn't pass. I need to make some adjustments before I retake it in July." And then resolve yourself to get back in the game, figure out what you did wrong, fix it, and tackle it once more. If people were watching how you handled the test, you can bet that they're watching how you handle defeat. Show class and grace under fire. Very important. And remember this: those who persevere through failure inspire others to do the same. I've noticed that many of the people who come to this forum to share insight and encouragement to repeaters on how to get past the bar are people who failed it at least once themselves. There's a lot to be said for that. If you get bad news, don't just curl up into a ball and cry your eyes out — although it's tempting. Stand up. Tell yourself that you are a badass. That you have more guts than average people. That you will never accept defeat. You will not be denied admission. Get out your books and get to work. Get angry, but not irrationally. Don't waste time blaming your tutor or the graders. Channel your anger into analyzing what you did wrong last time, and how you're going to change things up. Be determined to grab the test by the horns and take its ass down to the ground. Yes, you can do it. And when the day finally arrives that you land on the pass list, all the black clouds will blow away and the sun will come out again. Until then, you have to fight. Be a fighter. It's just as much about what's in your heart as what's in your head.

Whatever happens, I at least know I CAN pass this thing! I even know I was definitely prepared walking in the exam room this past attempt (and maybe that will have been the most annoying part if I don't pass)?!

I think this is the case for many of us here, so let's hope that in addition to having put in the right kind of hard work and preparation - we all have just a bit of luck in our favor as well.

This forum has been an excellent resource both for preparing for the CBX and for waiting for the results. I prefer the postings and conversation here far more than on any social media site. (I'm on LinkedIn, and that's it.) I want to thank the hosts of this forum as well as my colleagues who post here for their professionalism. No one here has ever asked me what race I am, what religion I am, what my political affiliation is, what my gender is, what my sexual preference is, nothing silly like that at all. Because none of it matters at all to any of us. We're all on the same mission, aiming for the same target. Everything else is just noise.

You can show the owner/s of this forum some love by remembering to leave through an ad. They get a penny or some nonsense, but as much as I've been here, I'll bet they've made at least ten dollars. I do what I can.
