Sweatpants. All the way. And a hoodie, which will probably be searched.

After staring blankly at note cards I used to recite with ease, I'm MBE or bust. Best of luck to all of you.

I just read through one, they don't look particularly challenging if you manage your time well, considering the applicable law is provided for you.
I watched Barbri's MPT lecture but that's it. I honestly may skip it. I still need to memorize TX civ pro and crim pro stuff, which is a pain in the ass. Time has never been an issue for me at all.

You need to wear jeans, man. Sweat pants are never appropriate.
Sweatpants are ALWAYS appropriate.

I printed my ticket a while ago so can't help you. Did you try opening it in a different browser?
Yeah, I tried both browsers on my laptop, then I tried another computer, and I tried 2 different phones. Something is wrong with the whole website from what I can tell, but I obviously can't contact them until tomorrow morning when they open. Just nervous it won't get straightened out before I have to leave for Albany :/

sorry homie. I printed out like five of mine last week.

I'm wearing stretchy jeans. The best of both worlds.

Dude, you can fix this fast for the essays. Just write down everything from these cards from memory. If you can't review again until you can. You can probably get everything back tomorrow.

As someone who has felt this last week, I have to say-get some rest. Take a break. You are just going to upset yourself if you keep trying to wrack your brains over your note cards tonight and it's going to lead to a lot more stress. I didn't do this before in July, but when I'm stressing now I just give up for a second, lie down, close my eyes. Just a few minutes but it really helps. I also recite rules in my head. Every time I know something is right, it makes me realize that actually I may not be as f'd as I think I am.

A PSA to everyone (myself included):

If your MBE is average, you can do pretty crappy on 50% of the essays and still pass.

Here's to minimal competency! We got this!!

Yeah the essays are scaring me. I feel prepared for the MBE.

I was looking over some of the essays last night and realized I didn't know how to answer any of them, really. I was also exhausted so that was probably a factor.

I am debating how to spend today. Given my poor performance with those essays I feel like I should study the prompts and model answers today, on the other hand I feel exhausted and think it might be better to take this last day off. Thoughts?

"Father's will divides his entire estate between Mother and Son. How should the estate be distributed? How should the estate be distributed?"

WAIT, WHAT ARE YOU ASKING ME, THEMIS?? Clearly I'm not the only one who needs to calm down.

I would probably take a couple hours to read through a few essays and just write out the issues in the margins. If you're feeling exhausted, I wouldn't spend much time writing them out fully or even really outlining. But just make sure you're getting the issues down. Then in the afternoon, just relax as much as possible.

Just my two cents.

Haha I don't mind most of their typos, but when they start repeating the call of the question numerous times it just feels needlessly aggressive.

Finished up all of Themis's MBE questions this afternoon - I don't know how I feel about it. I have some Emanuel's that I haven't done which I'll do a few tomorrow night and Wednesday morning and jump start my brain.

I'm jealous of those of you who start tomorrow because you'll finish sooner :( ... save for CA and TX of course. I couldn't fathom 3 days of it.

I'm just flipping through my notes at this point, trying to remember the basic tests for everything. I feel confident I'll pass assuming I don't get a bunch of essays I'm ill-prepared for

After being delayed overnight I am in Buffalo in a hotel sitting on my ass doing nothing. I feel like I have it this time around. I have done like over 100 NY essays, I am not taking the CA bar, and my tests for Kaplan for MBE where all in the 130s.

Good luck to everyone. Be fresh tomorrow.

I'm doing allll the practice essays, and ripping out pages of the most frequently tested topics to bring along with me. The way I see it, if I haven't had a wills essay before lunch, I KNOW I'm getting one after lunch, so I may as well leave the pages "before the security checkpoint" in my bag.

Also, as public defender, can I just say that the only other place I've ever seen women required to carry tampons in a clear plastic bag was the fucking DC Jail??

Now I'm getting to a point of angry at this whole system. Going to channel that anger into beating the shit out of this test.

I second whoever said they can't image a three day test. good god. CA and TX, you da real mvps.

This is a great idea. I'm bringing my flashcards with me for this reason now. Thank you!

BTW, I did some scouting today and there's a Chipotle around the corner from the Armory, if you're into that sort of thing.

Seriously? What are you waiting for?
