Re: BarBri Bar Review Hangout - February 2016 Exam
I'm having trouble wrapping my head around the terms of "law" & "equity" that are often thrown around in MC questions. It's hard to google, and the terms pop up in a variety of diff subjects..if anyone has a manner of thinking about what they really mean given the context, I'd appreciate it. I have a feeling it's pretty basic, and once I understand it, the validity of those answer choices will suddenly be a lot more clear.

Re: BarBri Bar Review Hangout - February 2016 Exam
Anyone else do the MBE Preview Diagnostic (first 100 questions in the big MPQ book)?
I did it and did really well. Unsure if these are supposed to be easier questions because it's a "preview" or if I'm actually getting better.
FWIW: target scores are as follows:
MBE Preview Diagnostic: 52/100
Half Day Exam: 60/100
Full Day 1-100: 62/100
Full Day 101-200: 61/100
MBE Refresher: 57/100
Anyway, gonna work on a few more of these in 100 question increments and hopefully do as better compared to the target score as I did this time. Wheeee ... confidence! Please last me one more week and a few days.

I didn't do the MBE preview but I imagine the questions are easier. Pretty sure they intend for you to take it cold but w/e.jamescastle wrote:Anyone else do the MBE Preview Diagnostic (first 100 questions in the big MPQ book)?

MBE refresher is a bitch.
I'd recommend doing some questions from those sets but be careful about doing more 100-sets this close to the bar.

Why? Burnout? I'd say for me it would be helpful to get used to doing 100 qs in a row, otherwise, my brain just freezes towards the end.DueProcessDoWheelies wrote:I didn't do the MBE preview but I imagine the questions are easier. Re: BarBri Bar Review Hangout - February 2016 Exam
Last Friday's Refresher was the last set of 100 I'm doing. It's not because I'm scared of getting burnt out but because I think I'm pretty good with timing at this point. Also don't want to somehow get a bad score and kill my confidence a little bit going into the exam. This week for me is all about maintaining and getting myself into the right mind-set for next Wednesday. I was such a mental wreck going into it last time and it definitely affected me negatively on exam day.
Gonna finish reviewing the answers to the Refresher today (slow weekend & Monday lol) and do some questions on Adaptibar.
Then, probably do a few sets of 50 this week and then just review old questions and outlines from the weekend to game day.

I'd recommend watching Guzman's MBE refresher/review from a couple weeks ago. The guy hits a lot of great points. I did it before the MBE refresher, and I scored 80/100. It really helps drilling in general rules, and test tips/tricks.

I really do not understand why Barbri didn't build in a simple "search all assignments" function. All those sort and filter tools are beyond fucking useless.
Where is the refresher/review lecture? All I can find is the post-refresher lectures that review the questions.

Wondering the same thing. I have yet to see any Guzman lecture on the Refresher.rinkrat19 wrote:I really do not understand why Barbri didn't build in a simple "search all assignments" function. All those sort and filter tools are beyond fucking useless.

Yeah, he might be confusing it with the Simulated... I wish Guzman taught every subject.tealeaf23 wrote:Was it his review(s) from the MBE simulated?THE_U wrote:Wondering the same thing. Welp. The MBE Refresher killed me. Like under 50% right.
Guess all that confidence I had that I was finally getting stuff is gone.

It's supposed to make you feel that way so you will push hard the last few days. Head up, confidence is half the success, at this point you can't do anything other than some studying and believing you will be fine. Because you will. We all will be fine.jamescastle wrote:Welp. Idk about the rest of you but I felt like the drafters of the July MBE watched the Guzman videos and made sure they avoided all of his helpful tricks...at least when it came to con law...

Yes. Burnout. You don't want to overload yourself with questions this close to the bar. I'd say no more than 40 a day. Probably lower.Sue wrote:Why? Burnout? Still can't believe they tested us on how much a victim of larceny/embezzlement is able to recover. Still have yet to find this in any of my bar materials.
