Add me to the list of people that passed who had the AM streak of D's. Someone at the NCBE must have been listening to some Rich Boy.

I heard that it was $25 a state, so totally $75?

Actually, you might take a chance and just asked for ND. then it would only cost you$25.
Another strategy is asking for MN first, and then asking ND or DC according to the result. That may save you $25 and still have the same information.

Re: July 2015 MBE Scores/Results
I PASSED
This thread REALLY helped calm me down in the days leading up to the release of the PA bar results, so I am giving as much info as I have right now. I plan to message the robinhood dude later when I get a breakdown when they mail me stuff.
I took barbri, did about 90%+ of the course, got a 118 on the midterm, & a 68 on the refresher. High grades in law school. I felt really good about the essays, but the MBE was very hard. I felt comfortable with 45-55+ in both the morning and afternoon half, but overall, not a great feeling.
For those still waiting, YOU CAN DO THIS! I know a lot of people who were ready to hear they failed, and they did not. For what it's worth, the people I know who failed were "expected" for the most part. They were primarily the students who did poorly in law school and/or took kaplan. If you got decent grades or put in a lot of hard work with bar prep, keep your head up and trust in yourself!

Interesting jab at Kaplan here. What statistics or body of information are you basing this on? Probably such emperical information as "4 people from my school all took Kaplan and they all failed," correct?

Lowest in the online recorded statistics history that goes back to 2003. The pass rate has been dropping steadily since 2007 or so and experienced the biggest drop of a 4% difference this year.LSATclincher wrote:Pennsylvania pass rate was 71% in July 2015. Down from 75% in July 2014.
I guess we're just getting dumber. Or maybe 2003 was a particularly dumb year too...
Anyway, I PASSED. I'll be sending my scores along too.

Re: July 2015 MBE Scores/Results
I checked this thread multiple times a day while waiting for PA results, which were released Friday. I PASSED! Now I want to do my part for those still waiting and tell you about my experience. I will post my scores after I receive them in the mail.
First of all, I can't even begin to explain how certain I was that I failed because of the MBE. I started crying five minutes before the results were posted because I was SO sure my name wouldn't be on the list.
My preparation: I took Kaplan, finished probably 80% of the course. I got a 120/200 on the midterm and a 126 or 127/200 on the final. I was consistently scoring between 65% and 75% on MBE subjects by the end, but would have the occasional low score that would make me want to jump off a bridge.
The actual exam: Essay day went okay, no disasters. Then the MBE came along and DESTROYED me. I had the string of D's in the morning and I RAN OUT OF TIME. I never had a problem with timing during my bar prep, so I was extremely disappointed...and terrified. I think I left five or so questions blank. I cried during the lunch break (noticing a pattern here?) and almost didn't return for the afternoon session. Convinced myself not to leave and finished in the afternoon with a few minutes to spare. It felt a little easier, but not by much. I thought the questions were nothing like the 2000+ questions I practiced, and I remember thinking how unfair it was that they tested on the same few discrete areas of law multiple times.
Even despite all of that, I passed, and you will too.

Re: July 2015 MBE Scores/Results
I was surprised to see PA's mean scaled MBE score was higher than national average despite the drop in pass rate. I'm not sure what, if anything, that means. I'm curious to see my score breakdown, particularly the MBE. I'm sure those ridiculous Civ Pro MBE questions had some affect on those who failed.Incubateus wrote:Lowest in the online recorded statistics history that goes back to 2003. This. I felt the same way about the MBE and ran out of time too so I left 5 blank in the AM session. Congrats!
The fail list and the list that 'needs more info' lists examinees who took the bar with fake names e.g, Blair Waldorf "passed" but needs more info. My favorite is "Sorry-about Jon-snow" he was unsuccessful. Who takes this thing for fun?

62% for Louisiana sounds a little high for that state.timmyd wrote:It's not an mbe state, but results are out for louisiana. 62% pass. I was in that 62% and It's a good feeling.
Conclusive proof that the MBE is getting more difficult. Haha

What's up with Louisiana's results website? The pass list is not complete and other lists are full of joke names (Aaa Aaa, Ron Burgundy, George Costanza, etc.)

Re: July 2015 MBE Scores/Results
Mystery solved: "Passing applicants are listed by full name, with conditional or failed applicants listed by fictitious name. The fictitious names are chosen by all applicants prior to taking the bar, and can get quite creative."BVest wrote:What's up with Louisiana's results website? That wasn't meant to be the takeaway, but pass rates have steadily declined as more people take non-Barbri. I stuck to barbri, was really happy with it, PASSED (that's the real takeaway here) and had friends who were not happy with Kaplan (and failed). it was just my observation.. trying to be positive here!!hoppingabird wrote:kelllly wrote: They were primarily the students who did poorly in law school and/or took kaplan. Got my PA score breakdown. 165 scaled MBE score. I took Kaplan and had the string of AM D's (nine in a row for me). I'm hoping this bodes well for NJ results.
Seriously? What are you waiting for?
