I am kicking myself for not doing another two or more weeks of intense study. Really scared I'm not going to pass. I feel like I know the law pretty well at this point, though.

ugh!! Just got 66% on a set of 50 mixed MBEs. I REALLY should be above 70%. No excuse for this. Now I'm grumpy. In my defense, a lot of the Themis questions get a little funky in the alter problem sets. But I got 4/8 on torts and for me there is just NO excuse for that.

But the problem is we're all getting burnt out. I wouldn't get discouraged--you know the practice questions are harder. Just use it as an opportunity to see why you missed them and then forget about it. You'll be fine!

I thought I'd be more relaxed this time around being that I've already sat for this exam ... my nerves have increased like ten times as much. My friends keep telling me to look at the first time as just an expensive practice round but that surely doesn't help.

It's crazy how a mere exam does this to people. Paper with words on it.

I don't even drink but I'll be damned if I don't start Thursday when I'm done.

No, it definitely sucks taking it again. I feel that way and I even passed the first one.

Its because we know what's coming. And we know it fucking sucks. Just a mental and emotional onslaught.

I'm off to go buy all manner of plastic baggies and "quiet unwrappable snacks." ugh.

7/10 on the MBE civ pro practice questions. Feeling pretty good about this now - considering civ pro was hardly covered in my materials.

Yes he did! He took the man to the house with the specific intent that the man would break into the house. What was his intention, if not for the man to commit burglary? That the man would run away and do backflips in the street?

I think he didn't have the intent that the crime would be committed and that he would get away with it , but that seems like an entirely different issue.

Also I just saw someone else wrote "specific intent" - that just doesn't cut it though. Someone please give me a reason why what I wrote just now doesn't make him guilty.
If he intended for the other guy to get caught before he committed a felony, he didn't have the specific intention for a felony to be committed in the house.

can't....focus....any...more. But every time I read an essay topic I discover something that I don't know. While intellectually I know I do not need to know EVERYTHING to pass this test, its just demoralizing to be so close and go "huh. generally retainers over $3000 need to be in writing, but ALL divorce retainers need to be in writing no matter what. WHO KNEW?!?"

In other news, the grocery store near me sells edible cookie dough. So I got that going for me. #barinduceddiabetes

Anyone taking NY? I can't access my seat ticket, it gives me an error message when I click the link. Anyone else having this problem? I'm kind of freaking out.

This. It's really freaking me out. And some of the essay questions I feel like I would not have known how to answer at ALL. which is also freaking me out.

OK no more studying. I know what I know and it is what it is.

Now on to more pressing matters than rules of law: Sweatpants or jeans? I've been wearing sweatpants every day to study for approximately 3 months now and don't want to throw myself off, but on the other hand, I kind of look like a schmuck...

I printed my ticket a while ago so can't help you. Did you try opening it in a different browser?

No one will care what you look like, in fact a lot of people probably will be wearing sweatpants. Wear what makes you feel confident- if you studied all the time in sweatpants, why change it up now?

I scored a 56 out of 100 on the Themis morning session. Don't feel like doing the PM. 5 out of 14 on contracts.

You need to wear jeans, man. Sweat pants are never appropriate.

Yeah, I tried both browsers on my laptop, then I tried another computer, and I tried 2 different phones. Something is wrong with the whole website from what I can tell, but I obviously can't contact them until tomorrow morning when they open. Just nervous it won't get straightened out before I have to leave for Albany :/

Burnt out from studying. I still haven't done any practice MPTs though. I guess tonight/tomorrow would be a good time to try a few of those?

I just read through one, they don't look particularly challenging if you manage your time well, considering the applicable law is provided for you.

Yeah I am swinging between "you got this" to "holy shit I have absolutely no shot."

Realistically, unless I am unlucky enough to draw a bunch of essay topics I'm ill prepared for, I think I have a good shot.

Seriously? What are you waiting for?
