Yea it's all state essays, but only count for 30% of exam, so I need to do a cost-benefit analysis. No way I retain enough information to be ready to tackle every scenario.

Why bother writing a crim law/pro essay when it's highly unlikely it will be tested + you must already know enough because of MBE prep?

The interpleader one that required you to know what each was and the difference between FRCP 22 and 28 USC Sec 1335. Didn't Freer say we wouldn't need to know shit like that?

Ohhhh yeah. I don't even remember him saying we don't need to know that but as soon as I read it I assumed something like that would not be on the actual MBEsublime wrote:Br3v wrote:Jog my memory againsublime wrote:Question 100 on the Sim was such bullshit.

"there were a number of questions in the practice test in which a good case could be made for either one of two correct answers" but in the MBE itself there are some close calls but there will always be a correct answer because of a specific fact or in the answer itself.

Are y'all watching those review videos tomorrow? I'm wondering if there's any actual benefit to them as opposed to just going through the answer explanations on my own. Inclined to skip them, but getting major Fomo

I'm on like 5/7. (Switched the video days with the last tw days). They are okay. I think you would be fine with either.Dookie39 wrote:Are y'all watching those review videos tomorrow? Yea, I'm starting them now and wondering if I should just read the explanations instead. He said it would take longer for us to go through them on our own. Ummmm.... They have over 8 hours worth of videos. Take longer to read them?? I think not sir.

I think it's something that is totally up to you. I'm finding the videos helpful because they are also giving little mini reviews on the most important topics and i'm taking notes.
Palmer's discussion on First Amendment speech issues was particularly useful I thought.

Re: BarBri Bar Review Hangout - July 2016 (UBE -NY)
I am going through the answers on my own and considering the videos as part of my homework if I get around to it. We also have an MBE refresher of 100 questions in about a week and a half, and then there is a lecture for each subject that lasts between 1 and 2.5 hours. I think I just need a break from the videos for a bit. They are maddening to me and the lecturer's voices drive me up the wall. So I'm just going to read and do more practice in the meantime. I'll watch the MBE refresher lectures as they come up.
Seriously? What are you waiting for?
