Nope, haven't even gotten a confirmation they've been received (should probably check the tracking number). But I mailed mine on March 30, so not sure how helpful that is. They said, what? Allow 7 weeks?

Now I think I may know why the BLE pushed the date to May 2.

Message from the website:
04/07/16 - IMPORTANT MESSAGE FOR ALL CURRENT AND PROSPECTIVE DECLARANTS & APPLICANTS: PLEASE READ!
Due to construction, the Board Office will be operating with limited staff from April 22, 2016 through April 29, 2016. During this time our Analysts and Assistant Directors will not be available by telephone or e-mail. Thank you for your understanding.

Fudge.... so now I guess I should accept and embrace the fact that we will have to wait until Monday instead of holding out hope that it is still going out on Friday...

Thanks for sharing DueProcess!

Agreed thanks for sharing! That does suck that Monday is looking more and more like the actual day.... Damn construction.

Also, to the person asking about bar books, I got my confirmation that they arrived today. It says I'll get my electronic payment by email (the Chase pay thing)

Will anyone else have to fly into Austin for swearing in? Flights are getting more expensive by the day. I'm tempted to book a flight now and hope I pass. Seems like it might be worth the cost to cancel or change to a different flight if I fail.

I'm so impatient for May 2.

You're flying in? That seems unnecessary. Just find a local judge to swear you in.

So i took the bar in feb, yet will not technically graduate until May.

I received a letter from my assigned licensing analyst asking about requirements. Anyone else receive a letter from the BLE asking for your school's dean's office to send "proof" that you met the credit requirements?

In a related question....do u have to wait until the swearing in date to actually swear in, or can swear in as soon as u get your results? (Assuming all requirements are met at the moment)

Part of my app required getting a certified copy from my law school that yes, I had graduated and met the requirements. I got the letter a week ago saying not everything was there and gave them a call and we sorted it all out. They're open 8-2, so can't hurt to call and figure it out.

As for the swearing in, you can do it with anybody listed in the bar rules. If you want, you can do it the day you get the good news. Houston has a swearing in ceremony two weeks before the one in Austin, so there's no reason to wait.

OK, soooo did anyone else get a letter from the BLE about lacking the necessary requirements for admission to the bar? Evidently I lack the present good moral character and fitness for admission to the bar.

I didn't get this letter last time, and I haven't had any run-ins with The Law since then, so WTF?

I've called my licensure analyst and left a message so hopefully I hear something soon because seriously.

Nothing like that received here.

Wtf? You didn't get it last time? That's really weird. Keep us posted.

Eeek, leftshark!! That has to be a mistake. Let us know.

Otherwise, I haven't received anything at all from them since they pushed the release date back.

I did..it was just due to an employer not verifying my last place of employment, basically no one would respond to the correspondence from the Bar. But I got in touch with everyone and it's fine. I panicked when I got the letter at first, but it was really something minor.

Same here. It got sorted out pretty quickly once we got in touch.

Has anyone ever received a BLE letter and not passed the bar on their attempt?

Asked another way: Do u think the requirements letter has any indication on whether or not u passed?

There was an entire discussion on this after the July exam. It means absolutely nothing if you did or did not receive a letter or email, or whether you have access to your account etc. There is just no way of knowing whether or not you passed until results are out.

No one knows jack shit until the pass list comes out.

wasn't being mean with my post. just saying that nothing you see before the release date will indicate whether or not you passed.

That's exactly what it was. It didn't even occur to me- my mind immediately went to the BLE letter I got at the end of 1L saying that they would be "monitoring my profile" after I had to amend my application and declaration. (because of two failures to appear 15 and 20 years ago!)

Seriously? What are you waiting for?
