Re: Barbri paced program question?
Has anyone else found the video review lectures for the practice MBE to be both interminable and not that helpful? I would prefer to just read the explanations rather than listen to the lecture. Am I missing something?

I like them because they are less effort than reviewing on your own, I like some of the lecturers, and the tips are goodVulcanVulcanVulcan wrote:Has anyone else found the video review lectures for the practice MBE to be both interminable and not that helpful? The ConLaw guy was great. Really seemed like he went above and beyond in just the answers.VulcanVulcanVulcan wrote:Has anyone else found the video review lectures for the practice MBE to be both interminable and not that helpful? Contracts guy was just the answers.
CrimPro/CrimLaw went beyond just the answers, but in a less helpful direction..

i am having to go to the detailed answers in the back at times. its as important sometimes to understand why something is wrong and they gloss over that...

Re: Barbri paced program question?
has anyone thought about what they are going to do for caffeine?
i dont know if it varies by state but we can't bring in any five hour energies, etc or even a caffeine pill
I thought about taking an extended release caffeine pill in the morning? Idk though. I just dont want to be flagging at the end of the morning/afternoon sessions...

hmmm the Crim Law woman seemed great at first and her system is good but she is glossing over some things like the ability to withdraw from a conspiracy differing from common law to MPC

Those review lectures are hit or miss.
I took notes on all of them, and plan on going back and pulling out the good stuff from the notes and printing that out.
I also need to go back and read the explanations for all of the questions I missed.
If you watch the videos at 2x, take notes, and review the questions you missed, i think that is time well spent.

Re: Barbri paced program question?
How many hours is normal to be throwing at bar review atm? Today I watched all the review videos for the simulated final exam, which my state had earlier this week. That was 7 hours of video, which I watched on 2x, but I stopped every few minutes to take notes and research issues. All in all it took 10 or so hours. Now I'm just brain dead. I feel like I should review a state subject or something before bed, but I just don't have the energy.

I don't see why you couldn't take an x-tra strength 5-hour energy before going into the exam and maybe a regular one on break. Are you allowed to exit the building for lunch?jd20132013 wrote:has anyone thought about what they are going to do for caffeine?

How is all of the people on this thread doing health wise. Remember! Stay healthy and don't forget to get proper sleep.
For example, I eat a vege every meal, go to hip hop class, and suck on frozen fruits for healthy sweet treats.

I skipped them all. I am not an auditory learner at all and the last thing I was going to do is watch more of these unbearable videos. I just reviewed it thoroughly on my own.VulcanVulcanVulcan wrote:Has anyone else found the video review lectures for the practice MBE to be both interminable and not that helpful? I was going to pour one or two red bulls into a one liter bottle, and mix the rest with water. It'll probably taste like ass, but at least I can drink it throughout the day.

Does anyone know if there are real MBEs in study smart or what questions sets make up the mixed sets?

Anyone else finding the mixed sets really easy? I don't want to lull myself into a false sense of security.

I think they are relatively easier. So are the A and B sets. But Barbri's questions are harder on average so they may be more representative.MoneyMay wrote:Anyone else finding the mixed sets really easy? I don't want to lull myself into a false sense of security.
I would recommend doing some real questions.

Re: Barbri paced program question?
just did my first set of real questions from Emanuels.
I agree that they seem to be easier, but they way they are written is noticeably different. i would strongly suggest not just relying on the Barbri questions.
EDIT: i realize this message might seem a little gloom and doom. i picked up what mattered very quickly and scored very well. i'm just saying that sometimes the answer that you're looking for won't be phrased the same way as you might expect. it's still easy to figure out the answer, and probably easier because these questions do seem easier.

I've been using Adaptibar and strongly agree to not rely on BarBri and it's good to get a different flavor of questions.jd20132013 wrote:just did my first set of real questions from Emanuels.

Caffeine pills (200mg of caffeine per pill), easy to transport, more effective than drinking coffee.jd20132013 wrote:has anyone thought about what they are going to do for caffeine?
