So does that mean they could possibly be released tomorrow? Kinda sounds like it.AnxiousPuertoRican wrote:Justice Willet just tweeted the grades will be released Thursday at the LATEST.

Re: July 2016 Texas Bar Exam
This never happened last year. It never appeared as an unpopulated list . It was a resource unavailable or 404 error until suddenly it was there and fully populated.bigcat wrote:Wow yea the link is active. I wonder at what point this happened last yeartx0910 wrote: Oh and if you currently look on the pass list link 2016 is now listed with no names under. How much more cruel could ble get at this point lol
And this sounds like something else that falls into the never happened category.maztastic247 wrote:The same thing happened in AZ when they released the February bar results. Someone hacked into the system and published the list early (only by a few hours)... but by the time they took the list back down it was pretty much too late, because the list had already been downloaded and shared by a ton of people.... if only someone would do that here!sawyercb wrote:During my bar exam, I talked with a girl who had taken another bar exam in February and was taking the bar in Texas in July. She said her law school classmate (who apparently had a flare for hacking and all things computer) was able to access the list on the website, prior to it being publicly posted/available. So wonder if this is something similar where the list is there, and then it's just a set time that it's made publicly available?

This is so stressful. 1st and email from blue that says Friday and then Justice Willet tweets Thursday 'at the latest'. So if so does that mean maybe tomorrow? This is cruel

Goddamnit, I hope not. Knowing my luck, they will be. I tend to trust the accuracy of JW's tweets more than BLE emails. I specifically asked for Thurs/Fri off... it's going to be awkward asking for Wednesday afternoon off too.Estecontre wrote:So does that mean they could possibly be released tomorrow? There is no way I'm finding out the results while at work again.
Oh, and for the person thinking of going to CA: if you don't receive good news, don't make any rash decisions! Let the dust settle and give yourself a few days to grieve/cope. Then decide. I really hope you receive excellent news!

I'm interpreting all this to mean tomorrow at about 1:00 pm.

Why don't they release them at midnight? If you're working, no matter the result, the day is shot to hell.

I think there's a tradition in Houston where everyone leaves work when the results come out and heads to the same bar to celebrate. That'd be kind of a bummer if you pass and don't get to experience that because the results came out at night.AnxiousPuertoRican wrote:Why don't they release them at midnight? Re: July 2016 Texas Bar Exam
Have the results ever been posted after 5 PM (or whenever the people at the BLE have gone home for the day)? I just automatically assume that if I don't hear anything by 5 PM on a particular day that I won't hear from them for the remainder of the day.

The BLE is mean like this. I thought this last year, and this year definitely confirms that they like to toy with and torture the examinees before releasing results.

Sorry, meant that to mean that I believe that happens in most major cities as well. I thought it was part of the release "tradition" but I could be wrong.Estecontre wrote:So what about those of us that don't live in Houston....?bigcat wrote:I think there's a tradition in Houston where everyone leaves work when the results come out and heads to the same bar to celebrate. Ahhh I get you. Maybe it does, but I doubt that affects release time. Even though I am planning to put my kidney to work soon after release (good work=pass or bad work=fail), not everybody will do the same. Some people will drink, some won't.bigcat wrote:Sorry, meant that to mean that I believe that happens in most major cities as well. In light of JW's latest tweet, what are the chances the results will come out tonight? Or, do you think the "not today" tweet still applies?

I was thinking that because he said in the later tweet he said it was an update, like he obtained new information, but I don't want to ask him. Yes, I'm a coward, I ask you to not judge me.LittleJohnBull wrote:In light of JW's latest tweet, what are the chances the results will come out tonight? Does he usually tweet about it this much in the days leading up to results or is it usually reserved for day of?

Ha, well if you did decide to ask, you would be doing the lord's work! And I would know at approximately what time I should shit my pants.AnxiousPuertoRican wrote:I was thinking that because he said in the later tweet he said it was an update, like he obtained new information, but I don't want to ask him. He was posting funny stuff during the week before (except none of it was really funny since I was so stressed out). However, this "UPDATE: X day at the LATEST" is certainly new.Does he usually tweet about it this much in the days leading up to results or is it usually reserved for day of?

IIRC it was like 1:40 PM CT. I'm just leaving after 12. Not checking anything until I am home.lovesthelaw wrote:What time are they normally posted? 1pm central time?

Yeah I'm going to leave work at noon and take a 2 hour lunch break and wait and see if anything gets posted. If my friend is wrong about tomorrow then we all know it's coming Thursday! Best of luck.

Re: July 2016 Texas Bar Exam
They are typically released around lunchtime, between 1-2pm. There's no clear-cut rule, though. The BLE is so unpredictable.
Take the time off if you can. Go home and have lunch while you anxiously refresh the page. There's no way you can get work done at the office at that time. It's just too stressful.
