Uggggghhh!!! Killing me!
Can anybody remember this happening before? I'm curious since it says Monday if that still means Friday actually, or if we really will have to wait until Monday.

Interesting coincidence for sure. Not sure what it could mean.

Not sure there's any coincidence. They hold 4 board meetings a year, with one generally falling at the end of March or beginning of April.sluj11 wrote:Interesting coincidence for sure. Not sure what it could mean.

Or item 3, deadlines?
I am curious too if they've done this before. Any prior takers remember?

As for your substantive question, I'm unaware of it, but am really only familiar with about 4 administrations of the exam.

Whoops, item 5, not 3.
I looked at the minutes from the last 4 Feb administrations, no mention. I don't think anything helpful will be discussed. Who knows? It's public, so if anyone goes, let us know of anything good.

Re: Texas Saloon- Feb. 2016 Texas Bar
Hey all, anyone interested in selling their Barbri/Kaplan/Themis study materials from the Feb. 2016 Texas bar exam?
I passed the bar in 2013 but will now be sitting for the Texas bar in July, and would rather not do the Barbri video lectures over again. Just gauging interest while this thread is still active, but happy to purchase the materials in the next month or so. Thanks!

I still have my Barbri books, but the deadline to return them and get a deposit back is April 1, so you'd have to commit to buying them like... today.

I see. I imagine the Barbri deposit is more than I'd like to pay, so feel free to ship them back.

As mentioned, every quarter there's a board meeting, don't read anything into that. Having been to dozens of other board meetings at other agencies, I can tell you there won't be anything of value there. The BLE may stream it live if you are so inclined, some other agencies do, but again I'm sure the brief report will be uninformative.
Even with the announcement of the date change, I still expect we get results on the old release date of April 29.

I blew off that email thinking it was just general stuff about release date again! I randomly checked here and saw it was actually important. This is the worst, NC is already getting their results and more states coming out soon, yet ours gets delayed?

Re: Texas Saloon- Feb. 2016 Texas Bar
This might be a dumb q but given that Texas typically releases results the day before the stated date, does anyone know if Monday results would be released on the previous Friday (which would be the 29th) or the Sunday (May 1)?

I don't think we have precedent to inform us. My guess is that if they changed the actual date, then they were concerned that they would be unable to release results even on Friday.texasbar wrote:This might be a dumb q but given that Texas typically releases results the day before the stated date, does anyone know if Monday results would be released on the previous Friday (which would be the 29th) or the Sunday (May 1)?
And since they inform the SCOTex justices of the actual results before they release publicly, I doubt they would do it on a weekend, even if they were able to finalize the list on Saturday or Sunday; but maybe that's just a courtesy rather than a formality.

Re: Texas Saloon- Feb. 2016 Texas Bar
Perhaps the extra day allows them to release on friday, as a courtesy for passers or failures to "party" about the pass list or "drown" the outcome. This will allow peeps to do their thing and not having a work day the following morning.
Perhaps, with the way pass rates are lately, they wanted it to be easier for the bar takers handling the results.

It would be kind of ridiculous for them to send out an announcement to everyone that results are delayed, then release them on the originally planned date anyways.
I hope I'm wrong because I would MUCH prefer a Friday release, but I'm not betting on it.

Yeah sjwest. I'm with you. I want it very badly to be Friday... and will probably start checking Thursday anyway. Buuuutttt, if they were going to release Friday they should have just kept the original date. I'd put 0% odds on a weekend release.
It'll be the worlds longest weekend and even longer Monday if it is Monday.
Maybe its just a cruel early April Fools joke from our favorite sadists at the BLE?

Didn't one of the Justices last year tweet about what time the results were going to be released?

Yes Justice Willett usually tweets when results are about to be released.

Re: Texas Saloon- Feb. 2016 Texas Bar
Has anyone gotten their barbri book deposit returned yet? Just wondering because they sent me the email last week that they'd be sending me a chase quickpay payment. I'm wondering if they're just going to release everyone's at once?
Seriously? What are you waiting for?
