They could give you a release date and then have a habit of releasing it a day early. Unless they release it two days early. Or maybe release it exactly when they said they would.

Oh. Wait.
Well, thanks for the nightmares :) Oh. Wait.

For what it's worth, I just got an email about SMU bar exam results party that is hosted by Randy Block of Performance Legal Placement.

It says in the email: "I throw this party every year and have confirmed with the State Bar that results will be released on the afternoon of Thursday, November 6th."

I doubt the Board is going to say anything different than the official date

Unless he's being told something under the table, that's exactly what he should be told, but if he's being told something under the table maybe the bar examiners can't get it out early this year, entirely possible.

If we get to 4 PM tomorrow we'll know.

I wonder what his past e-mails said? For instance, I wonder if last years said "I have confirmed that the results will be released on Nov. 1" or something to that effect. If he just called the office to schedule, then they'd likely just parrot the official release date. Otherwise, this guy would have the inside track on every single exam.

Right. I would assume he called and got the same November 6 confirmation that we have all already gotten throughout this process.

Yeah, I feel like us, as crazy people, would know about the guy with an inside track by now...

I have a buddy who works for my law school, and he told me the schools always get the results a day before examinees. Has anyone else heard that rumor?

Here's an example of exactly what would happen the past two times before the list was released, reformatted of the July 2014 exam:

****AGAIN THIS IS AN EXAMPLE AT THE TIME POSTED****

Examinees who passed the July 2014 Texas Bar Examination

An asterisk next to a name indicates that the Applicant was successful on the examination but is lacking an eligibility requirement which may include one or more of the following: Proof of citizenship (Rule II(a)(5)); Law Study Requirement (Rule III); Good Moral Character & Fitness (Rule IV); or a passing score on the MPRE (Rule V). The individual's examinee number is provided as a second identifier.

I've never heard that, but I can't imagine that would be the case. Surely it would leak.....

I have heard a rumor before that they get stats... so like 90% of the class passed, or something like that. So maybe that might be true, and there would be nothing to leak really.

I agree. I figure they have gotten them the day before the official release date the past few years, just as everyone else has.
