1st, like you I got a 139 on the MBE. I studied my ass off for the MBE b/c I was so worried that about the essay portions. Not sure how I passed, but so happy that I did. I only had an 8pt improvement in my MBE score from July. Whatever the case, all of it is behind us. Congrats to all who passed. And future congrats to all who will pass.

You must have scored more points on the essays as well (as I imagine I did because I felt very good on 80% of the essays), but I think I remember hearing that 130+ on the MBE was the number to reach to pass, granted you didn't bomb any of the essays. So it looks like we all passed comfortably with the exception of nybarfeb; his essays must have been stellar! (I can say this because I scored a 125-something in July)

Llm. 3rd attempt. Passed with 126 mbe. Bad score but made it.
Thank you all TLSers for helping me.
I know it's not a hard exam but neither easy. I do know that the profession is brutal than the exam. But I sincerely thank you all for your valuable inputs. Your feedback really helped and motivated me.

Incase someone didn't get through don't give up. It's really 3-4 months of grinding barbri (as this course helped me) and you can do it.

Just had some champagne with my immediate family. Woke them up, but what the hell. They were happy.
For the spreadsheet: I passed with a 159 MBE. 25 points higher than last time. This time, I used Adaptibar, doing ~2000 questions. I finished both AM and PM 15-25 minutes early and felt very good. But since I bombed the essays last summer and failed the MPT, I was afraid that I bombed them again, and I was never sure.
Congratulations to everyone.
To those who failed: This test was bullshit, is bullshit, and will probably always be bullshit (although hopefully the UBE will be better). It's just a bullshit obstacle that you can get through and will get through. I am sincerely rooting for you. Don't give up. It's possible. Just admit to yourself that it's possible.
Before I checked my score, I sat down and wrote down my plan of action for if I failed. I imagined failing. Went through it in my mind. And I told myself that I would never give up, and I would just start studying again. Whatever you choose for yourself, I wish you happiness.

I took Kaplan last July, which didn't work out. Therefore i decided to study on my own. I did a combo of Kaplan questions from their big blue book, adaptibar questions, which were extremely helpful, and also studied with celebration bar review from the apple app store for like a $1. For those that didn't pass, i recommend taking a look at celebration bar review lectures, outlines and real MBE questions, its just a $1. Plus the lectures are audio so you can listen to them around the house, on your commute, or at work.

Passed NY with 151 MBE. Second time taker (failed NY but passed NJ in July with a 133 MBE). Congrats to all who passed. For those who did not pass, I know how you feel, stay strong, you can do it. Thanks to everyone for your informative discussions on this forum.
