Re: Feb 2016 bar results waiting thread
Allegedly NC mailed results Thursday or will this coming Monday. Today (Friday) is a state holiday here. So people in NC should get their results via snail mail no later than Wednesday/Thursday of this coming week based on historical release patterns(fourth Friday after exam results are mailed).

Re: Feb 2016 bar results waiting thread
Oregon results will be out April 8 at 2pm.
Every single day, someone asks me when I'll find out, so I can't even just forget about it for a week.
I'm almost positive I did better than July, but I don’t know if it was better enough. I was fairly close to passing in July, but far enough that I had to improve, not just get a little luckier.
If I fail again, it will be in my top 5 most humiliating moments.

I missed July by 1.9 points.PersonalInjuryLawyer wrote:I failed in July by 3 points.
I think 7 points is close.
Although I've never personally heard anyone failing by more than 15 points. I feel like it's always close.

At least your states tell you what your score was. NC just says "pass" or "fail" and if you fail you're allowed to pay $70 to get the model answers and your essay answers with no markings of any kind and no MBE score. I could have been off by 100 points or 1, pretty impossible to tell.

Maybe is more comfortable just know if you "pass" or "fail" than NY says you got 664...DonDrapersAttorney wrote:At least your states tell you what your score was. Anything <15ish is close in my opinion. Also somewhat depends on how the whole scoring thing is done in your state, too, though.

Is anyone on here lurking from NC? I'm dying for people to start posting results! Kansas is supposed to put them up on the web on Friday. Yikes!

This actually isn't accurate. While it is true that they send you this when you do the basic score request, you have to separately request a score summary. They gave me my scores for each individual essay and my MBE scores (I don't remember if I paid extra). I only knew to do this because someone else did it--I then sent the NCBLE a message through the website, and my scores arrived around the same time as my (still unmarked) essays. It at least let me know where I went wrong. I don't think they make it clear that this is what needs to be done from their instructions at all, though.DonDrapersAttorney wrote:At least your states tell you what your score was. According to NCBLE's calendar, they graded the exams from March 18th-March 25th. In July, they graded exams until August 27th (Thursday) and mailed results August 28th. If they follow the same pattern, results should go out today (unless they sent them out before the end of the day Friday), and they should get to Raleigh and Charlotte (and a few other places) tomorrow. They arrive a day later in the triad area, so those should arrive on Wednesday. I hate waiting when I know they're coming so soon.stranlaw wrote:Is anyone on here lurking from NC? They haven't even told us when results will be released yet
It can't be that hard to pick a date.
Good luck to everyone finding out today!

Re: Feb 2016 bar results waiting thread
I missed the July 2015 bar by 5 points. I've been able to semi-ignore the anxiety from waiting this time around, but it is becoming more difficult to ignore it as results are expected within a week or two.
The second time I studied I completed 96% of the Barbri program. What sucks is that I don't feel any better about the second bar than I did the first. I didn't breeze through the Barbri program either, I went through it all at a good pace because I had so much time to study for the second bar. I focused on the essays a lot more, including the two MPT questions.
If I don't pass this time around I don't know what I'll do. Like others on here, I felt crushed when I found out I failed. I couldn't believe it. Hoping for a better result this time around.

Re: Feb 2016 bar results waiting thread
Senior DDA stopped by my office this morning and mentioned that they (the Oregon essay graders, not including her this year) were grading last week and probably had to be done by today. So now I'm officially in the "WTF IS TAKING SO LONG" stage. 11 days.
Then I accidentally scheduled an eye doctor appointment for the release day, 90 minutes after the list comes out. So much nope. Had to cancel and reschedule. I'm either going to be dancing around the room or curled up crying, and neither is compatible with getting my eyes checked.

Yall are lucky. California folks have to wait until mid-May. That's some BS.

rinkrat...April 8 isn't that far off. That is pretty funny about booking the eye exam 90 minutes after results come out. I don't blame you for rescheduling! LOL I hope you are busy dancing around that day.
Reachthebar79...1.9 points that is brutal...and could just come down to the essay grader. I bet you got it this time.
jamescastle...yes...it depends if it is UBE scoring or a state like California if 15 or 27 points is a lot.
waitingonthebar...good luck!! I hope you get them tomorrow. Please let us know. Hoping you get happy news!
iowalum...that sucks they haven't given you guys a date yet. Ugggggghhhhhh.

Thank you for being so uplifting! I will get my results Wednesday if they were mailed Monday. Indiana will be out April 8!! I'm always ready to rage at the bar examiners, but when I call they're so annoyingly pleasant that I can't be mad anymore. The countdown begins...

Are there any clues by the envelope itself? Thicker if you passed? More postage? Here, they say you can tell because it's thicker if you pass because they include info on the swearing in ceremony, etc.
Good luck!!

Good luck to everyone getting results back soonish.
I've gone from feeling good/fairly confident to feeling like crap, mostly because I really didn't think I failed the last time I sat. I'd insert an emoji but there's no emoji for the way I feel. Sometimes I'm just totally apathetic. *sigh*

Mail has been delivered, but it didn't contain a letter. I know people closer to Raleigh that got their results today, though. It takes anyone in the Triad area 2 days to get things from Raleigh, so at least I know it will probably be tomorrow. Sadly enough, the letter is the exact same whether we pass or fail. It's just a one page note that contains our fate.stranlaw wrote:Ugg! Had mail been delivered got you today yet? I was hoping they hot them out last Thursday for you guys. Good luck!!

I have a lot of retirees as neighbors, and they've kept tabs on the habits of the mailman for the past month. I've got about a two-hour window where he should arrive tomorrow. I've wondered whether he is aware that he has the eyes of a gaggle of old ladies following his every move. #squadgoals
