Have any of you guys gotten feedback on the consumer graded essay yet? I thought it was supposed to be within two business days, but maybe I just made that up?

Check the email account you have on file. They emailed instructions on seeing your grade. Rather convoluted actually. You look at your status report, click on the graded essay (on the actual chart with the percentage complete of graded essays), then you'll see it. There is no other notification in the actual program and you won't see your results by going to graded essays on the left. I got mine Tuesday night.

The NY Family Law lecturer is a fucking terrible lecturer. Anyone have any tips for actually learning this information that doesn't involve listening to her stumble over her words while fucking up the handout for 13 lectures?

That is very weird- why do it like that?? Appreciate the tip- it was actually pretty decent feedback (as in, you can tell the grader actually read it and had original things to say). Let's hope the BLE wants to know all about roses and rashes in February. :pKTnKT wrote:Check the email account you have on file. They emailed instructions on seeing your grade. Re: Themis Bar Review Hangout - Feb. 2016 Exam
Is there something wrong with me if I can't sit though all of the assigned MBE lectures in one sitting?
For example, I was supposed to do 7 lectures on Civ Pro today. After the 4th chapter, I had to stop and clear my head for about 30 minutes before I could start the 5th one.
Am I weak mentally or is this normal?

Normal.....i started a lil early,...but I will tell ya, sometimes all i could do was 20 pages worth of lectures handouts before I called it a day.

Re: Themis Bar Review Hangout - Feb. 2016 Exam
Bluespitter is correct--it's VERY normal. Some days, I got to the point where I would cry if I saw a lecture on my to-do list. The lectures are very boring, but the information on the handouts were everything I needed to pass.bluesplitter wrote:Gamecubesupreme wrote:Is there something wrong with me if I can't sit though all of the assigned MBE lectures in one sitting?

Just took the milestone exam 1 today, got a 64%. I think when I took it in July, I got something in the 50% range.
They put a question on auctions on there, and I never see the bar asking us anything about auctions.

I did terrible on the first milestone. Only 45% when I'm normally in the 60s. But, it was my first timed set in test mode- and my first mixed set. Guess I need to practice both a lot more.Raiden wrote:Just took the milestone exam 1 today, got a 64%. I think when I took it in July, I got something in the 50% range.

Ur gonna be ok .
On adaptibar i have been consistently scoring around 70%, yet took the Themis milestone and received a high 50s score.
It happens. Also i think Themis questions are little more convoluted. And few "easy" one compared to thre real thing.
But keep on working!

Re: Themis Bar Review Hangout - Feb. 2016 Exam
I'm feeling like a lot of the MBE practice questions are asking about info from the big outlines...not in the lecture handouts and some aren't even in the final review outlines. Anyone else?
Also, the final review outline for real property is drastically slim on mortgages, which I feel is a heavily tested topic.
Am I just being critical because this is my fourth review company I've used (I'm barred in two other jurisdictions)?

That's definitely true, there is level of detail in the MBE's that they just don't get to in the big lectures, understandably. You learn those intricacies from the MBEaustinmom wrote:I'm feeling like a lot of the MBE practice questions are asking about info from the big outlines...not in the lecture handouts and some aren't even in the final review outlines. What the hell, got 40$ on the Milestone exam, even though I consistently score in the 70% range on the other practice sets...

Me too. I'm chalking it up to first test mode, mixed set. I reviewed the answers and am moving on. I'll worry if I'm still getting 40's in Feb.Gamecubesupreme wrote:What the hell, got 40$ on the Milestone exam, even though I consistently score in the 70% range on the other practice sets...

I had this problem at first, but everything will come together in the last two weeks. Trust the process.Tubrid wrote:I'm having trouble cementing everything, as well. I don't remember all the tests, even when I recognize an issue (e.g., mutual mistake or something) in a practice essay, I always find myself referring back to the material when writing the answers. This is going to be an issue unless I just spend a couple days drilling every single test (elements) into memory using flash cards or something.
Anyone else having an issue memorizing the hundreds of elements we're encountering?

Any of you guys know how/where to find out the percentage "checkpoints"? I know I'm behind, but I'd like to know just how badly- and hopefully set some realistic goals for catching up.

Yes, in the home screen on the left of the green "Course Progress" button is the "Course Schedule" link. After clicking that, a PDF is downloaded, and you can open it and check off the boxes in it to compare where you are at vs. where the suggested PDF schedule says you should be at.left shark wrote:Any of you guys know how/where to find out the percentage "checkpoints"? Just finished the practice MPT (which I thought was kind of hard) and about to start the practice "Advanced Sales" essay. For comparison's sake, I should be at 42.8% after that, which I think puts me about 1-day behind.

I've got the paper schedule, but I was hoping themis had the same kind of thing barbri does, where you know that hey, next Friday I should be at X%. Of course, the percentage doesn't really matter when my checklist is so devoid of check marks. Here's hoping I can cram 4 days' worth of stuff into this weekend. Damn you, BLE.
I am dreading that practice MPT. I didn't think last July's was that hard, but cleeeeaaarly I was wrong, judging by my score sheet. The themis lecture suggested some things that I hadn't thought of/been taught before, so maybe it won't be so bad.

Would any NY Themis users be willing to share their lecture handouts? Self-studying here. Passed in CA using Themis and loved using the handouts. Any help would be great.
