What's TCR so that I pass? I spent the weekend after crying and skipping meals trying to come up with a plan but arrived at the conclusion that if I had a plan I probably would have passed to begin with.

Do I start studying now so I can have as much time as possible? Will I forget shit if I start too early? The score report is probably coming in a day or two but it can't come soon enough

I'm at work and my boss just nonchalantly walked in to say "NBD, do what you have to and you'll pass next time." :|

Someone here mentioned studying in K Town. I actually work here, although I might cut down my hours if I can. I would be interested in some combined study. Waiting for my score report from July 2015.

I'm in El Segundo but willing to go to Ktown. Can I get in on this LA study group?

One of the partners (whom I never interact with really) popped into my office and asked to go out to lunch with him 1-on-1. Hoping for a pep talk, but fearing a shit-canning. Fun times, fun times.

Guys, do you know if they send our score reports using USPS? My dumbass apparently managed to forget to change my mailing address on the bar website, and I'm hoping the mailing packet will be forwarded to me.

If anyone has had to repeat using Themis, do they send you a new set of books when you re-enroll under the guarantee or do they expect you to use the books they previously sent you?

Took the exam in February 2015 and got a really good MBE score, ended up being 5 points away from passing due to bombing PTs.

For what it's worth, the reason I did well on the MBE was Adaptibar. BarBri, Themis, Kaplan, etc. don't want to pay royalties to NCBE, so they make up their own fake questions that are nothing like the real thing.

If anyone needs a coupon for $75 off AdaptiBar, send me a private message with your email and I'll hook it up. I promise I do not work for them, but it really did help me.
Hey Buen, I posted a similar question in the NY Feb thread, but figured I would ask you since you would most likely have an answer for me. Failed NY as a first-time taker in July by 11 points (654, need 665)... MBE was my downfall, I got a 126 and would've passed with a 132. Didn't do nearly enough practice questions this first time around and didn't read any explanations... Just went through and marked right/wrong to see how I did. Got Adaptibar and have been working on the questions for about a month now... As I've been going along, I've noticed that the same or very similar fact pattern will come up pretty frequently. Since these are supposedly all real, past MBE Qs, did you see any questions on the real MBE that were similar or even the same as ones you had done through Adaptibar?

Thanks in advance!!

Regarding baressays.com, would you guys recommend the standard subscription or the premium one with the outlines and feedback from actual bar graders? I'm going to buy a subscription in the next few days but I haven't decided which one to purchase yet.

I have the premium sub and I think it is worth it since it is only $50 more. Note that hey have tons of essays available for the standard sub, but not every essay has feedback for the premium sub.. Generally, it looks like they give feedback for one essay on the 50/55 range. One feedback essay for the 55/60 range. And one feedback for the 65+ range.

So basically every past bar question has an average of 3 to 4 submitted essays with feedbacks.

They also provide a model answer for each question which I find very valuable

Thanks! I was leaning that way! Glad to hear it's worth it.

I am also in LA and would be into meeting up in Ktown.

I had some people from my school who organized 4 sessions where they did 3 real essays back to back (bar exam format) and then would talk out the answers after lunch. They all passed and it seemed like a good sytem. Unfortunately, I could not participate but would like to do something similar this time. Learning how to write 3 under time pressure is really valuable - I felt unprepared for that on the Bar.

I just sent Themis my official score report. Has anyone already been given access to the website?

I just sent mine in too. Since I'm guessing no one got it before today, I'm betting they will start working on it in the next 24-48 hours.

I also found out I failed the test by a single MBE question. My response has been like that of a woman on Maury who is being given the results of a lie detector test about her cheating husband. Just me shouting, "Are you SERIOUS?!?!" about a million times and storming around back and forth; perhaps a few chairs flipped over.

Damned that is harsh. So was your total scaled score something like 1439.9 ???

Seriously? What are you waiting for?

Now there's a charge.
