Nothing other than it was by email, on Halloween, last year. Apparently the method and date fluctuate widely.SA2014 wrote:Okay, checking in after NY (what a fucking relief). Any idea of release date, or do we have hints from release dates of years past?

Sorry if this has been asked: How badly can I do on the essays and still pass with an MBE of 150?

You need 122 to pass. You are likely golden.SA2014 wrote:Sorry if this has been asked: How badly can I do on the essays and still pass with an MBE of 150?

Good luck on NJ. I'm not sure what NJ expects, but I'm sure those graders are going to get some awful essays considering that Con Law question involving a few novel issues that most had to guess on and that Torts question involving a string of transferred intent issues. I can't imagine the NJ essay products being too great for anyone who took another bar along with NJ because that was the 3rd day of a marathon (and the day after a very tough MBE day). Everyone I know who took PA and NJ were burnt out on NJ essay day and almost everyone told me they didn't care about the NJ essay day.Mr.PoopyButthole wrote:Failed NY with a 133.9 MBE (TANKED MPT and a couple essays). Plan was to get a high MBE and coast on through, but there goes that (I was averaging 75% consistently for a month, and FWIW, didn't notice a string of D's).
The NJ Essays felt far easier than the NY ones, but my assumption is everyone feels this way, and NJ expects a higher quality product. In prep, graded responses were mostly 3's and a few 4's and 5's. Am I doomed?

Took it in Secaucus, you could easily tell who took NY/PA the previous two days. I'm a bit nervous (despite passing in New York) based on the contracts and con law questions.LSATclincher wrote:Good luck on NJ. I spent a total of 5-1/2 hours studying for NJ, after coming over directly from Javits. NJ Lean Sheets all over the place in my hotel room. Fingers crossed, even though it's not critical.

Studying for NJ Bar? Is that a thing? I printed out a few essays, read them on a coffee break, and that was about it. If you studied for the MBE, that is good enough. The NJ essays were a joke.

Can you pass NJ with a 125 MBE? Anyone heard of this happening?

Seems unlikely, but still possible. You need a 272 to pass so that means you have to get a 147 on the essays.111aaa wrote:Can you pass NJ with a 125 MBE? Anyone heard of this happening?

Any guesses when the scores come out? I think they will be out on Friday, same day as last year.

Friday looks promising...according to past release dates.
BTW, long time lurker here. Thank you all for helping pass the time.
A little about my bar prep/exam experience: Took Barbri. 101 on the midterm; 64 on the final. Absolutely felt like the am session had mostly Ds. Felt awful walking out of the MBE. NJ day was better, but def messed up the civ pro question. Who knows. Good luck to all and thank you again for posting!!

You're right. I thought the NJ bar would be NJ-specific, so I studied NJ Lean Sheets, and that proved useless. It turned out to be the MBE again, in essay form. Initially thew me for a loop, though. Also, Secaucus is a sucky place to stay.Danger Zone wrote:That's too much time spent studying for NJSA2014 wrote:I spent a total of 5-1/2 hours studying for NJ, after coming over directly from Javits. Try driving from NYC to Atlantic City after the MBE. Woof, that was fun.

How are NJ results released? Is it just an email, or is there a private/public lookup link? or do we go into out NJ account?

I'm a repeat taker, and the last time I got an email notifying me that my results were posted on my user homepage.
(Side note: I have a feeling results will be tomorrow or Friday)

I don't know what it signifies, but I finally got an automated message informing me that I needed to get fingerprinted - I've contacted them multiple times asking if they received them (see earlier posts), with no response. I'm hoping this means release date is close!

Don't our homepages have some sort of status checking, with lists of stuff missing?cmblack wrote:I don't know what it signifies, but I finally got an automated message informing me that I needed to get fingerprinted - I've contacted them multiple times asking if they received them (see earlier posts), with no response. Re: NJ Waiters July 2015 (no news yet)
I did my original fingerprints out of state, and sent them from a military address, just prior to moving cross country, so I had no way of knowing if they got returned. I don't have a checklist, that I know of, but I never saw confirmation of receipt show up with all the other things they show as received. As I stated above, I've contacted them repeatedly for confirmation that I needed to redo them, and never gotten a response. Today was the first sign of life.SA2014 wrote:Don't our homepages have some sort of status checking, with lists of stuff missing?cmblack wrote:I don't know what it signifies, but I finally got an automated message informing me that I needed to get fingerprinted - I've contacted them multiple times asking if they received them (see earlier posts), with no response. zSo with your scores of 132/134, you need about a 140 essay...........exactly how hard is that? Would that be B or B+ level work on an essay? Don't know how they convert a series of 1 to 5 per essay into an essay score.Ibis305 wrote:I sure as hell hope not, because I got a 134 lol

Just looked at my personal calendar, saw that tomorrow is the deadline to register for Feb 2016 exam. How the Hell can they delay telling us about the July results pass this? Is this just a ploy to collect registration fees (non-refundable)? Christie sucks. So glad he disappeared from the GOP polls.
Seriously? What are you waiting for?
